EARTH
INTODUCTION TO BLUE PLANET
 Blue planet commonly refers to our earth, and it is
covered with 71% of water on its surface. When it is
viewed from space, would appear blue due to reflection
of sunlight on water molecules in the ocean.
 More importantly, there are several gasses on earth
which help the life to be sustainable on it. From those
gasses major ones are; Nitrogen 78%, Oxygen 21%,
Argon 0.98%, Carbon dioxide 0.04% further, Neon,
Helium, Methane, Krypton, Hydrogen and Xenon are
included.
EARTH AN
INHABITABLE
PLANET
Inhabitable refers to a place
that is suitable or fit for living.’
Earth is an habital planet
supporting a diverse range of
life form due to its optimal
distance from earth, presence
of water, and suitable.
EARTH AN INHABITABLE
PLANET
Earth is considered habitable due to several factors
1. Optical distance from sun allows for the existence of
liquid water.
2. The planet atmosphere composed of nitrogen and
oxygen supports a wide range life form.
3. Earth’s moderate climate, stable geological condition,
and diverse ecosystem contributes to its habitability.
WEATHER
• Introduction
• Weather is the state of the atmosphere. It includes
temperature, atmospheric pressure,wind, humidity,
perception and cloud cover.
• The weather is the short term condition of the atmosphere
of a particular place. The weather may change within a
short period of time or sometimes it changes within a
minute and also sometimes it changes within a day or a
hour.
• (Classification of weather)
Weather can be classified into different parts:
1-Sunny: In sunny weather there are very little or no clouds
in the sky.
2- Windy: In Windy weather simply the air is in motion.
3- cloudy: In cloudy weather the clouds dominates over the
sun during the day or obscure the Stars at night.
4- Rainy: That type of weather in which rain continuously
occur.
5- Snowy: Such type of weather in which a lot of snowfall
occur.
6-Stormy : In such type if weather the strong winds and
heavy rain or snow occurs.
SEASONS
When the weather remains similar for many days or months is called
season. Seasons get changed for a long period of time. There are four
seasons in a year namely spring, summer, autumn and winter.
1. Spring: It brings new leaves on trees and beautiful flowers to the plants.
The weather during spring season is very pleasant.
2. Summer: It comes after spring season. The day would be bright and
hot. In this season days always would be long and nights would be short.
People used to drink cold water and wear light colored clothes.
SEASONS
3. Autumn: It comes between summer and winter. Trees
shed their leaves during autumn season. It is the season in
which weather would be dry enough and leaves will fell
down from the trees.
4. Winter: It is cold season in which days will be short and
nights will be long. People used to wear warm clothes and
jackets.
CONSTANT CHANGE OF
EARTH.
• Specifically , it is significant to know what is constant change of
earth and how the earth change it position. Simply, the Constant
change on Earth is regarding the continues and effective
processes that devise the planet's surface, atmosphere, and
ecosystems over time. According to the geologist these changes
are feasible due to natural phenomena for instance, erosion,
weathering, volcanic activity, tectonic movements, and climate
diversification, including human activities, such as deforestation,
pollution, and urbanization also contribute to crucial changes on
Earth. There is no denying that this constant state of change is a
basic characteristic of our planet's geology and environment.
WHAT IS
EARTHQUAKE
Earthquake is shaking of the earth is call
earthquake.It is a natural event.It caused
due to release of energy, which generates
waves that travel in all directions. Actually,
parts of the earth are always moving ,
usually so slowly that we do not feel
anything. Most earthquake occur when
parts of the earth move quickly.
TYPES OF EARTHQUAKE
TWO MAIN TYPES
• 1: Tectonic earthquake The most
common type of earthquake and occur
when there is a sudden release of
energy caused by the movement of
tectonic plates.
• 2: Volcanic earthquake The earthquake
which caused by volcanic activity. A
type of earthquake which is caused by
movement of magma.
INTRODUCTION TO
VOLCANO
• Volcano is like a big
mountain that can explode
and
release hot , lava , ash and
gases with high pressure.
It happens when the
earth's inside gets very hot
. The
pressure makes the
volcano erupt and all the
materials
come out. And it is
dangerous for wild life.
TYPES OF VOLCANOES
TWO MAIN TYPES
• Shield Volcano: Those volcanoes which
have a broad gently sloping shape and are
formed by layers of flowing lava. The lava
flows out smoothly and spread out
creating a wide and low shape. These
volcanoes usually have calm eruption.
• Composition volcano: these are also
known as stratovolcano. It is made of
layers of different materials including
ash, lava, and volcanic rocks.
Composite volcanoes are known for
their explosive enuptions.
CONTINENTS
• A continent is a very large area of land regarded as a
collective region. The earth is dividend in seven continents
and each continent has their own characteristics.
• 1. Asia 2. Africa 3. North America 4. South America 5.
Antarctica 6. Europe 7. Australia
• Asia:
• largest continent
• It Includes 48 countries such as; Pakistan, Iran,India, etc.
• Africa:
• second largest continent
• It includes 54 countries such as; Nigeria, south Africa,
Egypt, etc.
• North America:
• Third largest continent
• It includes 23 countries such as; Canada, Mexico,
USA, etc.
• South America:
• Fourth largest continent
• It includes 12 countries such as; Brazil, Chile,
Colombia, etc.
• Antarctica:
Third smallest continent
# It does not have any country
# It is extremely cold
• Europe:
Second smallest continent
# It includes 44 countries such as; Russia, Germany, Italy, etc.
• Australia:
Smallest continent
# Australia is itself also a country
# There is no separate country with Australia.
VEGETABLE
ZONE
• A vegetation zone is refers to a large geographical area
characterized by different types of plants, climate, soil
condition and ecosystems.
• There are several major vegetation zones on Earth, each
with distinct features:
• (1)Deserts are regions that receive very little rainfall.
Deserts are often sandy landscapes. Some common
desert plants include cacti and shrubs that have adapted
to survive in harsh desert conditions.
• (2)Grasslands are large areas covered in grass and plants
without many trees. They get some rain but not as much as
forests. Many different animals live there, like grazing
animals and burrowing creatures. Grasslands are important
for biodiversity and wildlife habitats.
• (3)Tropical rainforests are really dense and green forests in
warm, tropical areas. They get a lot of rain, which makes
wet. There are lots of different plants and animals, like tall
trees, colorful birds, and monkeys. Rainforests are super
important for keeping plants and animals alive and helping
to control the Earth's climate.
CLIMATE ZONE
• Climate zone refers to the different regions on Earth that
have different climate patterns. It's based on factors like
temperature, precipitation, and seasons. There are
different climate zone classifications, such as tropical,
temperate and polar.
• 1:Tropical:Warm temperatures and lots of rain
• 2:Temperate:Mild temperatures and moderate rainfall
• 3:Polar:Veryc old temperatures and precipitation fall as
snow.
