What is a blog?
A blog is considered to be like a personal journal, which anyone can
have access to. A blog consists of posts which are in chronological order.
On a blog you can post whatever you want, and this is why many
people create blogs, to show emotions/feelings. However, it can also be
work related, by having a blog all about a certain topic which has
something to do with their work- whether it is school work or an actual
career. A typical blog would have text, images and links to other blogs.
Why make a blog?
There are many different reasons to why people make a blog, and why
they think it’s good. One of the main reasons would be that you can
easily get across to people, as it is on the World Wide Web. Another
reason would be that it’s very easy to use and get the hang of, so you
don’t have to go through the trouble of making a website, when you can
have the same impact, but create it much more easily, and it’s also
hassle free.
Lastly, people tend to make blogs to keep an online diary. This is one of
the main reasons as to how blogs became so famous, as Bruce Ableson
launched ‘Open Diary’ in October of 1998.
