What are film trailers?
Film Trailers are short, visual, exciting synopses of a
movie, put together to try and encourage people to
go and watch the film when it is released.
Why are they made?
They are made in order to promote the film and get
the public excited for the release of the film, to
make them alert of when the film is released and
what it is about, for example what genre the film is.
How do they work?
The best scenes of the movie are combined
together, showing characters, genre and narrative.
Who are they for?
They are made for the audience depending on the
age restriction. The age ratings are U, PG, 12A, 12,
15, 18.
Where do you find trailers?
You find trailers on Television, on YouTube and on
other Social Media Networks.
When are they released?
Film trailers are normally released a month or so
before hand.
