a business world in which the employee can
continue working full time and
simultaneously take a training course

Learners level Teachers
training
Core skills
Teachers should…
• Have te ability to search
the web efficiently
• Have the ability to create a
worksheet from texts and
pictures
• Be able to evaluate
materials downloaded
from the Web and web-
based exercises.
• Know how to create PPP
Key principles of a BL approach
1. Separate the role of the
teacher and the role of
technology
2. Teach in a pricipled way
3. Use technology to
complement and enhance F2F
teaching
4. ‘It´s not so much the
program, more what you do
with it’ Jones 1986
Principles
Further information
1. Teacher will not be replaced by technology,
instead he/she is going to take into account the
advantages of technology like: fast search of
information, 24/7 availability, endless exposure
to the target language and the students control
of the exposure they receive. While he/she has
as a role: to allow the students interaction,
know the students´ personality and attitude,
create the syllabus and write the lesson plans.
Further information
2. Always focus on the learners need, allowing
learners to consolidate the language.
3. Keep the correlation between the content of
the lesson and the online materials.
4. To know how to use the technological tools
to practice the knowledge students had
already learnt. Incorporate technolgy in the
class.
Technology can be integrated into
the language lessons, or be used
by learners outside the classroom
for further practice and as a
complement of F2F sessions.
To conclude…
