Blend learning is a formal education program where students learn through both online and in-person instruction, allowing some control over time, place, pace, or path of learning. There are several models of blend learning, including rotation models where students rotate between online and in-person stations, and flex models where material is primarily online but teachers provide on-site support as needed. While blend learning provides flexibility, it also requires reliable technical resources and students and teachers to have sufficient IT literacy and access to technical tools.

• Face-to-Face Driver Model – With this approach
the introduction of online instruction is decided
on a case-by-case basis , meaning only certain
students in a given class will participate in any
form of blend learning
• Rotation Model – Students rotate between
different stations on a fixed schedule (online or
spend with teacher)
• Flex Model – Material primarily delivered
online teacher give on site support as needed

entirely online but travel to a dedicated
computer lab to complete their course
work.
• Self-Blend Model – online study is
promoted with traditional learning
• Online Driver Model – here students
work remotely and material is
primarily delivered via an online
platform.
