This document discusses the emerging field of Big History, which takes a much broader, interdisciplinary approach to history than conventional history. Big History looks at the entire story of the universe from the Big Bang to present, over 13.7 billion years, rather than focusing only on the last 5,000-10,000 years of human civilization. It incorporates insights from fields like astronomy, geology, and biology to provide a fuller context for human development and place humanity's story within the larger story of the cosmos.
