In this webinar we are looking at omni-channel banking experiences. Today's consumer has several channels they can use to interact with their bank, and they want to use all of them. Financial institutions can, and should, communicate with their customers across all channels, not just one or two. A single platform with a rich customer experience layer makes it possible to create omni-channel strategies that use all channels and meet the needs of the 'connected consumer'. Real omni-channel banking is about more than a brand being available on a variety of touchpoints, it is about creating a multi-faceted, unified customer experience.
Backbase's CEO and co-founder, Jouk Pleiter along with Global Head of Marketing, Jelmer de Jong, will discuss the latest strategies and best practices to help your bank successfully deliver a truly omni-channel banking experience.
Topics include:
- Best practices for creating an omni-channel Bank experience
- Strengthening the brand by combining offline and online
- The future of distribution: The hybrid approach
- Next steps - How to continuously improve your omni-channel experience
Big data architectures and the data lakeJames Serra
With so many new technologies it can get confusing on the best approach to building a big data architecture. The data lake is a great new concept, usually built in Hadoop, but what exactly is it and how does it fit in? In this presentation I'll discuss the four most common patterns in big data production implementations, the top-down vs bottoms-up approach to analytics, and how you can use a data lake and a RDBMS data warehouse together. We will go into detail on the characteristics of a data lake and its benefits, and how you still need to perform the same data governance tasks in a data lake as you do in a data warehouse. Come to this presentation to make sure your data lake does not turn into a data swamp!
Enterprise and multi-tier Power BI deployments with Azure DevOps.Marc Lelijveld
In Power BI we are used to create reports and dashboards really quickly, but in most cases we forget to think about governance, development and maintenance at an enterprise wide scale.
During this session I share some best practices about applying DTAP (Development, Production, Acceptance and Production), or better known as multi-tier deployment.
By using Azure DevOps for deployment we bring back the structure and use a self-service tool in an enterprise environment. Beside deployment there is also version control and enterprise roll-out of your content in a managed structure.
In this session:
- Azure DevOps
- PowerShell
- Power BI REST API

Designed for engineers, architects, contractors, builders, design build, yacht design and construction, marina design and construction, strategic sourcing, custom manufacturing, and anybody needing quick approval or clarification of drawings or image files.
Technical Webinar: By the (Play) Book: The Agile Practice at OutSystemsOutSystems
In 2001, the Agile Manifesto took the world by storm, and it changed how software is built forever. Also in 2001, OutSystems, another disruptive force in the world of traditional waterfall software development, was born.
Not coincidentally, OutSystems has been using Agile Practices all along. However, because of the sheer speed at which we’re able to respond, we’ve had to come up with a few twists in our approach. We’re even putting it into a services delivery playbook.
In our webinar, “By the (Play)Book: The Agile Practice at OutSystems,” Engagement Guild Master and Expert Nuno Fernandes will show you how OutSystems approaches Agile Development and makes sure nothing slips.
In this session you will:
- Learn roles and respective responsibilities.
- Understand project phases with a clear focus on sprint development.
- Discover how we approach the user story life cycle in particular.
- See how a really solid structure, calendar and organization help maximize productivity.
