Lydia created three print advertisements and a radio advertisement focused on promoting better health and reducing alcohol and smoking rates among adolescents. For the print ads, she photographed models in different settings and edited the images in Photoshop to include inspirational messages and resources for help. Feedback from her target audience suggested the ads effectively delivered their health promotion messages. For the radio ad, Lydia recorded a voiceover highlighting the dangers of drinking and included sound effects to raise awareness of living a healthier lifestyle. Through this project, Lydia improved her Photoshop, Premier Pro and time management skills to create an effective multi-platform health campaign.

Data Centers - Striving Within A Narrow Range - Research Report - MCG - May 2...pchutichetpong
M Capital Group (“MCG”) expects to see demand and the changing evolution of supply, facilitated through institutional investment rotation out of offices and into work from home (“WFH”), while the ever-expanding need for data storage as global internet usage expands, with experts predicting 5.3 billion users by 2023. These market factors will be underpinned by technological changes, such as progressing cloud services and edge sites, allowing the industry to see strong expected annual growth of 13% over the next 4 years.
Whilst competitive headwinds remain, represented through the recent second bankruptcy filing of Sungard, which blames “COVID-19 and other macroeconomic trends including delayed customer spending decisions, insourcing and reductions in IT spending, energy inflation and reduction in demand for certain services”, the industry has seen key adjustments, where MCG believes that engineering cost management and technological innovation will be paramount to success.
MCG reports that the more favorable market conditions expected over the next few years, helped by the winding down of pandemic restrictions and a hybrid working environment will be driving market momentum forward. The continuous injection of capital by alternative investment firms, as well as the growing infrastructural investment from cloud service providers and social media companies, whose revenues are expected to grow over 3.6x larger by value in 2026, will likely help propel center provision and innovation. These factors paint a promising picture for the industry players that offset rising input costs and adapt to new technologies.
According to M Capital Group: “Specifically, the long-term cost-saving opportunities available from the rise of remote managing will likely aid value growth for the industry. Through margin optimization and further availability of capital for reinvestment, strong players will maintain their competitive foothold, while weaker players exit the market to balance supply and demand.”

2. Myprint
products
I wanted to do three print products and
focus on my ability to use photoshop and
time management. I organised all of my
files and separated all of my images into
photos I would and wouldn’t use. I made
print advertisements as I felt like these
can be aimed at people within my target
audience as these can be put online as well
as in colleges, shop windows, and local
GPs.
3.
4.
5. These are the places I
was going to shoot
however I decided
that they were not
appropriate
These are the locations I
did shoot in . I thought
these were more
acceptable as there
wouldn’t have been as
many people to sign .
6. This is me taking some
pictures, as well as my set
up. I made sure to try and
adjust the lighting to how I
wanted it, as well as this it
shows the original lighting as
well as what I changed it too
using the colored gel.
Production diary -
Shooting day in the studio will be at 12- 4pm , the dates of
occupancy was the 05/12/22
For the radio the recording date was the 05/12/22 for approximately
one hour I also have my location release forms and my actors
permission to have filmed these days.
7. Here we can see that
during the editing process,
it was hard to operate the
software to try and
highlight my writing. I was
unaware how to do this at
the start of the project,
however I adjusted the
stoke of the layer and
lightened it to a very pale
blue to contrast the
background. I did change
this a few times during the
process as I asked my
surrounding peers if they
liked the colours as a small
focus group and they said
tweaking the colour to
white so that is stands out
from the blue background.
This is what I had to use to change
the colours of the writing. I wanted
to do this to give a contrast to the
ligting , I decided to try and match
the background lighting yet using a
darker colour.
8. This poster was the first one that I made. I wanted to
experiment with colours and gel covers to try make a
saddened scene. This will target my audience as a rising
factor in young adults is drinking. I got my model to look sad
to show the emotional effect of drinking, and the loneliness
that it can cause. I focused my lens on my actor and made the
alcohol bottes blurry but in frame hoping to target peoples
attention towards the emotion showed. I photoshopped the
background to make a swirling effect and added text into the
product. The text highlights the toll that alcohol can take on
a persons life capacity. “Re- think your drink” simply
highlights that better health can help you slow drinking
addictions down . I added a little slogan on the bottom right
corner to encourage people that drinking can take a life and
to stop so people can live better lives. I also added the link
that people can access help through at the bottom. I did this
so that people don’t just view my product but also interact so
that they can lead a healthy lifestyle. I decided to make this
print product so that my target audience can relate as my
model is the same age group as my target audience.
9. This is a draft of my
second poster. I screen
shotted this image to
show the struggle of
finding a colour for my
writing as the
background has multiple
dark colours. I then
decided to change this to
something similar to the
first poster as I wanted
to keep them slightly
similar in their own
different ways
As we can see I also tried to
change the location however I felt
like the first location was a lot
cleaners as I could do a vertical
shot as well as a horizontal close
up . In this location I could not do
that.
As we can se this is the opacity lens that
shows transparency through images and
text, I ended up being unable to use this
so I used initiative and came up with
another way to do this, I altered the
alignment of the text and changed the
stroke.
10. This is the second poster that i made. This poster is
aimed at my target audience to help them stop smoking
as it is a very unhealthy habit consumed by many
people. However it has worsened in my target audience
over the last 5 years smoking has increased by 17%
within 16-20 year olds. In this poster I wanted to make
my target audience relate to the image. I wanted to add
more context to this poster to warn about the dangers of
smoking. I added factual statements to try and use
scare tactics on my audience as most people in my focus
group agreed that they don’t notice average
advertisements and I discovered that many more people
notice factual and gory adverts more. In this product we
can see that I included the nhs logo to show that it Is
from a factual source engine as well as this a lot of my
audience know the nhs and can recognise it easily. I also
included my model smoking as a sign of bad health. I
included inspirational quotes and a help link so people
can access help through the nhs website and better
health drop downs.
11. As we can see there was some
difficulties making this
advertisement. It was the most
skilful product I have made as I
had to edit the clock face in,
change the background colour,
add vignette around the edges .
There was also some
complications with layers as well
as having to use the blend tool on
two separate parts and add them
together to make the final product
I am very happy with how I managed to problem
solve . I had to use the internet to know how to warp
text and blend the edges of the layers.
12. These are some of the extra tools that I used to
help me when editing. I needed to colourise the
layers underneath and add a hue to blend
them. I really struggled with this as I
previously want going to use the bottles.
I watched some YouTube videos on how to make
this as clean and tight as possible as I wanted
to make it look as professional as possible
without any errors.
https://youtu.be/FSBTuBTGppI . This is the
YouTube video that I used as I wanted to
experimentalise my work as much as possible
and push the boundaries with my photoshop.
13. This is my final product that I made. I decided to
only do three posters instead so that I could focus
all of my technical skills and time on this
advertisement. I decided to edit a clock and replace
the clock hands with the alcohol bottles. This took
up a lot of time as this is the most skilful photoshop
product I have attempted to do. I wanted to
highlight the clock theme as many people using
alcohol as a form of coping mechanism. Therefore I
wanted to include a quote to make people think
about what happens when they drink. As it is
proved to reduce life span capacity and stunt life
expectancy. I included the better health logo as well
as some inspirational quotes. I felt this was
necessary to have less information on as the
background I worked very hard on and my pervious
product had more information on it.
14. These are the questions that I
have asked people. I was
going to choose multiple
choice but it seems that a
longer text box is easier as I
can get exact answer from
people and their personal
opinions. I asked if there was
anything I could change and if
they liked my final products. I
wanted to do a questionnaire
so that I could retrieve
answers from my audience in
a qualitative way.
15.
16. This is all of the feedback I have received. I decided to
send my feedback questionnaire to people within my
target audience many people were aged 16-18 so I
decided to send it to people that age. Many people have
stated that I have a great concept or a good idea. We
can see that people agree that is has a dedicated
message. Every person that completed the
questionnaire said that nothing needs to be changed
however , one person stated the clock is blurry and
needs to e made more In focus, next time I will make
sure I edit it more clear. As well as this I also did a
small focus group where I asked for more qualitative
feedback and my results were somewhat similar.
When I come do my editing process again the next time,
I will make sure I make everything in focus, and change
my fonts to contrast the background more. I will make
in a serif font.
18. These are the
behind the scenes
footage of where I
recorded my radio
advert vocals. I
decided to use this
room as it is a lot
quieter, as well as
this I was also
granted permission
to use this room in
my location release
, therefore I casted
and directed all of
my advertisement.
19. This is my radio advertisement, I decided to make a
radio advert, to reduce alcohol consumption within
adolescents under the age of 18. I wanted to highlight
the dangers of drinking as it can reduce life
expectancy and cause illnesses such as cancers and
body failures. I made sure to add a few facts and
statistics into my work as I wanted to use scare
tactics on my audience as I thought it would make
more of an impact. Scare tactics are designed to
sharply change a person's views on a specific tactic
therefore as drinking was more popular than
smoking, I decided that it would have a wider
targeted audience if I made a drinking advertisement
instead of smoking. I made sure I added a short
slogan into my radio advert “stop drinking, think
better health” . This symbolises the product it is
aimed for. I added all my sound effects in, stopping
and slowing the speed of my voice audio, this was all
made through premier pro. I also collected some
sounds of a bar, glass clinking and ambient sounds
from a non-copyrighted online source. Called free
sounds.
https://youtu.be/QGA-oMzCFOk
20. This is the editing process , as we can see it
shows the layers of sounds that I used.
I did struggle with the speed of the audio so I
had to slow that down , as well as this I had to
retake some of the original audio as there was
background noise.
I also struggled with downloading my sounds
and copying them onto the side of my project.
However I have progressed as I was unable to
do any of this at the start of my project.
22. Evaluation
Overall, during this project I feel like I have really enjoyed
developing my ideas and informing the brief . I feel as though I
have improved throughout this journey, from being unable to use
premier pro to confidently making a radio advertisement. I have
learned from my peers and teachers how to improve my focus. I
have used many different shots and learned how to film footage ,
although I never used it in this project I still was taught
cinematography and videography skills. I have included proof of
my work, made sure that I took behind the scenes footage and
learnt what I could improve and change. I was on time with my
project and organised. To do this I organised all of my files and
folders into separate places so that I could easily access what I
needed without loosing any of my product. I practised my work
by doing the cowboy shootout video as well as this I also made a
shots and cinematography video to help me with premier pro as I
added sounds. As well as the skills that I discovered I would not
be able to do this without guidance of my cast and crew as they
helped me fit into the theme and make my products become a
finished better health campaign for change.
