Design Thinking by Sandra-Walberta PowersSandra Powers
A high level introduction to this oft mentioned (and still surprisingly still confusing) topic as experienced on the shopfloor during high level digital analysis sessions with the Kingfisher group PLC.
Getting stakeholders to think in customer centric manner is relatively straightforward, yet often yields little in terms of actual change. This requires more than stakeholder support - it requires commitment, trust, and active participation in a process that can be unfamiliar or even frightening in a corporate environment. Workshops provide an opportunity to challenge the worldview of your stakeholders and expose them to the truths of customer behaviour. It’s an opportunity to transform them from supporters to believers by creating an environment where they can experience the magic of a user-centred collaborative process.
Why design thinking matters in digital business strategy [INFOGRAPHIC]iFactory Digital
Design thinking is not a new concept, yet it is currently revolutionising the way we work and operate a business. Some of the biggest design-led companies including Coca Cola, Apple, IBM, and Proctor & Gamble adopt this strategy company-wide and successfully outperforming other companies listed on the S&P 500 over the past ten years by an incredible 219%.

Design thinking is a new methodology with which we try to discover the feelings and the expectations of the customers during their journeys with the company. There is a step by step approach through which you can trace and apply in your company.

6 Tips for More Effective Status MeetingsWorkfront
Ah, the dreaded status meeting.
It inspires brief bursts of productivity immediately before the meeting, but often results in a dozen of highly paid individuals sitting in a room, recounting what they accomplished last week. If every project requires a weekly status meeting, this can become costly.
These six simple tips will help team leaders and project managers ease the pain of status meetings and reap the rewards of increased productivity.
Whether you’re a one-man team, or a member of a large team, collaboration can be difficult. We all know silos aren’t the answer, so how do you work together without stepping on toes or forcing the whole team to wait at each step of the process? In this talk, we’ll take a look at methodologies that ease the design process, and learn how a group can truly function as a team.

2016 Year End Webinar - Are You Ready for Digital Transformation?WSO2
Over the past year, we have seen the surge towards digital transformation reshaping many aspects of an enterprise. A key driver is lifting engagement levels; both externally and within the enterprise. While you need to attract and satisfy customers who are increasingly digital-native, you also need an environment and culture that can rapidly innovate and adapt to new opportunities.
In this webinar, WSO2 Founder, CEO and Chief Architect Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, will discuss what you need to do to start your digital transformation journey. Beyond the technology an enterprise needs to support a digital business, he will talk about:
Adopting an iterative approach to everything
Providing the freedom to innovate
Redefining control

From Pen and Paper to Prototype and Product - by Munish MalikMunish Malik

How keeping things simple can help build better products. There are simple and powerful ways that can help us to reduce the risk of starting new initiatives and get real feedback quickly. I will share experiences where simple techniques of using a pen and a paper to create a paper prototypes helped us answer complex problems and validate business ideas, quickly.
This approach helped in building an innovative and world-class product called Springer Nature Experiments, allowing researchers across life sciences to quickly find and evaluate protocols and methods across life sciences. The Trifecta: three “must have” meetings on every project; the internal kickoff, the post session debrief, and the project retrospective.
Why are they non-negotiable? Because they are invaluable. Throughout the project, they keep the team informed, united, and on track. Upon completion of the project, they’re placed in the project archive folder, accessible to future teams to revisit the last project, and to evaluate and improve upon the new experience where possible.

How to Disrupt Digital Product Cultures by LearnVest VP of ProductProduct School
A big part of product management success is bringing various cultures together from people, process, and innovation. Vivek Bedi from LearnVest hosted the product and technology digital teams from Northwestern Mutual and LearnVest as they discussed over the past two years how they have brought two cultures together to come up with a bold, brave, yet balanced "third" culture.
The new culture is one of taking risks, being ok with failing, and focused on innovation while keeping focus on being at the center of clients' financial lives.

Modern Agile – What's It Good For? - Jacob Creech - AgileNZ 2017AgileNZ Conference
The Agile Manifesto has been around since 2001 and, although the industry has rapidly developed, the principles still hold very true. However, there are lots of great new ideas that people have been experimenting with since the Manifesto was signed and, in this talk, attendees will hear about a few of these developments, focusing on the concept of Modern Agile.
About Jacob Creech:
Jacob started out in web development around 2000 and discovered that people constantly asked for things they didn't actually need, which led him on a journey of discovery that ended up in this thing called 'Agile'. He found himself in China helping develop virtual products for Second Life and then as the one and only non-Chinese person in a web development agency – good for language practice, not so much for delivering amazing work.
After some time back in New Zealand on a usability product among other things, he returned to China to co-found an Agile consulting company, worked with a variety of large, impressive-sounding international companies at a scale that would make most New Zealand cities look tiny, and managed to stumble into a range of interesting opportunities all around Asia that kept him busy for the next few years.
However, after some time, he got the itch to return to NZ and ended up at Assurity in late 2015 where he now heads up the Agile practice and works with government and non-government clients to deliver work in ever-improving ways. In his spare time, he (poorly) plays table tennis and enjoys naming babies after entrepreneurs.
When the speed of employee learning needs to keep pace with the digital transformation of organizations large and small, the solutions are far from obvious. Digital transformation is changing the learning and development function and the role of the CLO. It is as much about strategy and culture as it is about technology. So how does the learning and development function enable successful market and organizational change in the digital era? This webinar will focus on three core areas of technological and functional change for L&D: how to facilitate organizational change with cross functional collaboration; how to create learning experiences using AI; and design thinking and agile approaches and how to avoid common pitfalls. The speakers, Amy Loomis and Robert Burnside, bring direct experience from their years of work in the industry and through current consulting engagements. Loomis led the development and instantiation of IBM’s Think Academy and Burnside was Ketchum’s CLO. Join them in a conversation on how L&D can build resilient organizations that are well equipped to navigate the demands of work in the digital era.

A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder
