This document summarizes a study on lateral erosion monitoring along the Sajó River in Hungary. The study analyzed archive aerial photographs and topographic maps from 1951 to 2011 to examine changes to the river's centerline over time. Low-cost UAV measurements were also taken between 2013-2015 using a DJI Phantom 2 drone, GoPro camera, and RTK-GPS to create high-resolution digital surface models of sample areas. The next steps will involve estimating erosion volumes by comparing the digital surface models over time.
