SeniorNetwork Engineer, Carrier Engineering Services - Act as team lead, insuring the daily change requirements for the
team of 10 are fulfilled. Oversee Wells Fargo wide area network and provisioning of circuits that are DS3 and larger. Work
closely with the carriers to see that our circuits are built in accordance with the design specifications as laid out in our contracts.
Manage circuit routing and the rings that provide access into our facilities including 65 plus SONET and DWDM rings.
WACHOVIA BANK, A Wells Fargo Company, San Antonio, Texas 2006-2008
Network Engineer, Carrier engineering – Directed the design, implementation, and overall maintenance of the wide area
network that connects San Antonio into the corporate network. Maintain WAN networks in Oakland, San Leandro, San
Francisco, Roseville, CA and the Boston, MA networks. Worked as part of the team that migrated an East to West hub location
from a ‘Network CO-LO’ to San Antonio as part of the merger acquisition allowing for significant cost savings.

Manager of Network Voice and Data Circuit Provisioning – Coordinated the provisioning of 10 new circuit installations per
month. Negotiated contracts for voice and data service in amounts in excess of $15M per year. Designed and negotiated
contract for the installation of SONET transport at the 3 main locations in support of the main voice and data network.
Manager of Network Engineering – Managed a team of CISCO certified network engineers in the daily operation of the World
Savings network. Completed network infrastructure replacement from ‘token ring’ to ‘Ethernet’ for all remote sites, San Antonio
campus LAN upgrade from a flat to a switched segmented network, and the implementation of a new network ‘dial back-up’ plan
for all remote offices.

Network Professional/Network Design and Engineering – Managed many projects with short-term suspense that included
offsite staging for San Antonio and New Jersey locations. Managed, designed projects involving several testing labs.
Designed and implemented network connections for USAA Alliance Services Company to first external WEB hosting company.
Design consisted of a Cisco 3620 router, at remote location, using router to router encryption connecting to a Cisco 7513 router
at home office. Designed network connections to call centers for support of 120,000 expected calls per month. Designed and
implemented routed switched network to move one of USAA’s divisions into an off campus location. Design consisted of Cisco
5000 switches and Cisco 4000 router connecting to a Cisco 7513 router at the home office.
Network Systems Administrator – Provided telephone and on-site support for OS/2 LANs including new product
implementation, workstation make ready, first line new product implementation, and technical support to staging. Teamed
with new users and developed login scripts, aliases, network assignments, and network printer queue creation. Managed team
that successfully rolled out 1,000 new workstations per month over an 18-month period – completed project on time and over
95% accuracy. Team Leader for the Wireless Support Program and Inventory Tracking Program. Managed development project
to implement barcode processing for asset inventory management of more than 25,000 workstations. Selected by senior
management to conduct a special project to evaluate outsourcing of staging operations through the use of contract employees.
Handled the hiring, training, and evaluation of contract employees. Managed Staging Operations in the absence of the
incumbent with responsibility for supervision of twelve personnel. Developed and managed an inventory program for $5M in
memory and over 2,500 Laptop computers. Company realized a savings of over $20K in the first year.
