4. I used with two year 9 classes for Science in 2009. The results in the exams at the end of the year were great. The students who utilised gave very positive feedback using throughout the year and for their exams.
5. In 2010, I have used with year 11, 12 and 13 Science for the first time. This time was used to see if it has an affect on their work, results, participation and enjoyment of the course, and their exams though the year.
6. has created a learning environment, immersing the students into an educational experience and maintaining a challenging environment 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year generates this environment by presenting materials, tests and problems in multiple ways.
17. Time saving : Showing videos to give instructions, saves time to discuss more issues or extension work on the practical. More instruction may be required depending on the age and level of the students. Time needs to be taken in finding the correct videos. Helpful hint: Always open the new clip in another window. The reason is that the students will close only that window and not accidentally close the MOODLE site. Practical Applications
24. The Gradebook MOODLE is great for tracking and grading scores for students because it does it for you. The results can then be printed down and used in parent interviews.

This is a beginners course for MOODLEing.
What I am and when I started MOODLEing
Used with two year 9 classes in 2009, the results at the end of the year were very encouraging.
In 2010 used senior classes with MOODLE to see the effect at senior levels.
MOODLE creates an online experience of learning where learners can go over materials as many times as they want. They can do multiple attempts of tests, play games designed to expand their knowledge. Ultimately, it allows the student to become more confident in their learning.
The reports tab in the admin block allows you to look at logs and print off results. Here we see yr 10 activity with their course coming online in February and activity increasing through the year, with a high peak at June and dropping to a stable level from July onwards.
How much time the students are spending on MOODLE can be observed with my small year 12 class of 10 students who love using MOODLE
The individual activities can be observed. This is great because you can modify the activities if the number of hits is not high.
Recording the students is great because they participate more in MOODLE.
MY year 12 take these lessons very seriously in order to provide quality work and present well on the site.
Examples of courses at the schools I look after.
Time saving for practical’s showing what to do and how it is to be done. Great to set as homework for the night before. You can check the logs in the morning to see who has looked at it.
Animations are a great way for the students to observe information relevant to the topic.
Video playing in MOODLE is great again for information relevant to the topic. If your school has filters the students can play these at home.
Quizzes in MOODLE are great, because they can be repeated and marked by the computer and the grades go directly into the markbook.
Interactive animations are good because the students can carry out activities in MOODLE for the topic.
The topic games from quizlet are great because the students learn without realizing and they can repeat them again and again.
Hot potatoes quizzes are nice and simple to setup and good topic starters.
You can print off the results for parent evenings because MOODLE is always up to date with where the students are in the course.
Gradebook shows the results the students have gained in the year. Now there is a button beside each students name to look at their results separately which I will show you.
