1. Develop a strategic marketing plan for the next THREE years discussing the options of how BBC can increase their growth.  (this will include competitive strategy, market segmentation , please take into account any possible changes in the licence fee structure, etc) (40 marks) 2. Having developed your strategic marketing plan recommend ways in which BBC could develop a communications plan delivering its core proposition with particular view to exploiting the BBC brand worldwide (include the comms plan). (30 marks) 3. Evaluate the marketing opportunities available to BBC using the appropriate models of your choice highlighting any possible constraints (30 marks)

Evaluate the role of marketing communications to BBC Evaluate the main strategic marketing options available to BBC using the appropriate models of your choice.  Discuss and justify the ways in which BBC could competitively position itself in its target market. Recommend ways in which BBC could develop its brand image and grow its international presence. Critically assess the key segments (both product and market) that the company is dealing in, and develop a product/service proposition for these segments. Outline a strategic marketing plan for BBC for the next two years.
Utilising the data given in the case, formulate a one-year marketing communications plan to enhance the competitive position of the BBC brand. Critically analyse the role that integrated marketing communications has played in BBC marketing success, and recommend how this could be extended to other  markets in the future. Critically evaluate the effectiveness of the Marcomms plan paying special attention in delivering return on investment and other relevant measures
Critically evaluate how BBC’s strategic approach to business development and marketing has contributed to its significant financial success.  Critically assess the main factors affecting the NFP market.  Critically assess how BBC can adopt an online relationship marketing strategy to build its brand image and position itself competitively.  Taking a portfolio approach, critically evaluate the key segments within its stakeholders and develop a segmentation strategy for BBC.  Critically evaluate the challenges facing BBC, and analyse their potential impact on business performance.
Critically assess how BBC should develop its marketing strategy to ensure effective product and brand management.  BBC has a well-developed lobbying policy. Analyse how the implementation of this policy may result in the company achieving a sustainable competitive advantage, and make recommendations for how the performance of this policy can be critically evaluated.
