2. We were informed of the brief by 2 employees of the BBC, Amy
and Helen. They told the class that the brief was to create a 3-
minute short video. The BBC told us that we had a selection of
several different topics, these topic included: food, lifestyle, news.
My group out of the topics given picked story telling more
specifically the story of Alice and Wonderland by Lewis Carroll as
we found it an interesting story with ties to Sunderland. We will
develop are ideas and then pitch are idea to Amy and Helen. And
we will allocate role to different members of the team so we can
complete the task in a fishnet period.
Interpreting the brief
3. Defying diversity
Diversity
A variety of people/ the action of including or involving people
with a wide range of backgrounds including ethnicity, gender,
sexuality, religion, disabilities and more.
Why is it important to have diversity in the BBC?
The BBC exists because of licenced free payers, and they
have a duty to make sure they provide services to
everyone, which they would be unable to do without
individuals for different backgrounds.
4. What makes me diverse?
I decided to make a mind
map of some of the things
that make me diverse, I
listed my interests, and
disabilities.
I then conducted a discussion
on diversity in my college
class and learned how my
associates where diverse in
their own unique ways. I then
documented these in my
recordings and compared
them with others.
