Frozen Planet is a nature/wildlife documentary series aired on the
BBC.
It is narrated by David Attenborough and made up of a series of
clips gathered in the Arctic and Antarctic.
The series was made up of 7 episodes and first aired on 26th
October 2011.

It is created by the BBC, more specifically the BBC Natural History
Unit.
The BBC produce and create thousands of documentaries and
televise them across each of their different TV channels. The most
notable documentaries include; Planet Earth, Louis Theroux’s BBC
Specials and so on.
The BBC is a government owned broadcasting company which
was founded in 1922 and is the worlds oldest national
broadcasting company

7. WHAT ARE THE TARGET AUDIENCES
AND HOW ARE THEY TARGETED?
The BBC has a wide target audience. It has shows for kids (1-8)
young people (13-25) and for the elderly.
The BBC targets is wide audience by having a separate channel
for each audience.
For example BBC Three targets teenagers and young adults, BBC
Four targets the more elderly audience and Cbeebies and CBBC
for children.
