2. How to use a mouse/ track pad
• This is a mouse you would use this to operate
the computer operating system.
• The white arrow is called a curser.
• There is a left click, right click and a mouse
wheel.
• This is a track pad which is used in place of a
mouse for a laptop.
3. Copy & Pasting
• Highlight, right-click to copy text
• This is the copied text that has
been pasted.
4. How to open applications
• Most of the time your applications will be in
programmes to get there you will go to start,
programmes and select the wanted
programme.
5. Keyboard shortcuts
• To make a letter uppercase press the caps lock
on your keyboard. Once you pressed the
button the letters will be in capitals. To go
back to small letter case press the caps lock
again.
• Shift keys are used to enable other characters
e.g. To get the @ character you have to hold
the shift key down.
6. How to create and save documents
• To start office word click on start
programmes office then you have a
choose word.
• Then when you want to save click on
file save as. It will ask where you
want to save the word document.
You will find it in your save location .
