I presented this to a group of 50 people, half of whom used iPhones and half had Android smart phones. It was tough to make all of them happy but at the end of the presentation they all felt that they had learned a lot about their devices.
10. App folders or groups
• Hold down on app until it “wiggles” (iPhone) or the window
resizes (Android) and then drag on top of another app

• From Home Screen (options may differ on your phone):
• iPhone – swipe up from bottom of screen
• Android – swipe right from the left side of screen
12. Close recently used apps - iPhone
• iPhone:
• Double tap the home button to bring up a recent apps list.
• Scroll left/right to view apps.
• Close an app by swiping upward on the thumbnail.
13. Close recently used apps - Android
• Android:
• Tap the Recent Apps button to bring up the applications currently in
use – scroll up or down to view other apps
• Tap the icon to open the app

• Swipe the icon off to the right to close it
14. Quick text message for incoming call -
iPhone
• When a call comes in, swipe the phone button upward
• Tap “Reply with Message”
• Tap on a message

While holding the Home button press the Sleep/Wake
button. The screenshot is saved to your iPhone Camera

Android:
Simultaneously hold down the down volume and power
buttons. The screenshot is saved to your Gallery,
Screenshot group.
