1. Basic electronic components
Resistor
It reduces or controls the flow of electric current in
a circuit.
Used in TV remote LED to limit current.
Capacitor
It stores and releases electric charge.
Used in ceiling fan to start and runs smoothly.
Inductor
It is a coil that opposes sudden changes in current.
Used in tube lights to limit current.

2. Transistor
It can amplify signals or work as a switch to control current flow.
Used in mobile phone amplifier to boost sound.
Transformer
It changes (increases or decreases)AC voltage using two coils of wire.
Used in mobile charger to step down voltage.
Diode
It allows the current flow in only one direction.
Used in phone charger to allow current in one direction.

3. Amplifier
It increases the strength of a weak signal without changing
its shape.
Used in speakers to make sound louder.
Rectifier
It converts AC into DC.
Used in invertors to convert AC to DC.
Fuse
It protects the circuit by melting and breaking the connection when too much
current flows.
Used in electric board at home to protect from overheating.

4. Conductor
It allows electric current.
Copper wire used in householding wiring.
Semiconductor
It an ability to conduct electricity lies between a conductor
and insulator.
Silicon chips inside computer and mobiles.
Gate driver
It provides required voltage and current to turn a power transistor
ON and OFF quickly.
Used in solar inverter to switch power transistor.

5. Sensor
It detects changes in environment and converts
them into electrical signals.
Used in doors and etc…
