PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
During the 16 years of my professional history as a geophysicist, I worked on the whole process
chain of the geophysical research: from operating and maintaining the instruments on the field
campaigns via collecting, processing and interpreting the measured and archive geophysical and
remote sensing (imagery and SAR) data, amended by writing suitable codes to ease data
processing, inversion, storage and web publishing to state-of-the-art research planning and
project coordination.
I had the opportunity to work on several complex projects as a member of the Hungarian
Geological and Geophysical Institute, was involved in planning, organizing, executing,
implementing electric, electromagnetic, radiation-detecting, landslide-monitoring, remote sensing
aerial and field measurement campaigns. Leading the Hungarian team in the DORIS EU FP7
project gave me the chance to work with the European group of researchers in landslide and
remote sensing and try the new methods in satellite and ground-based SAR image processing and
interpretation.
Learning new methods, softwares and programming languages rapidly is my skill which my team
can always count on. Working on the field during extreme conditions (winter, rain, mines, caves,
etc.) perfectly fits to my leisure activities, mountaineering and caving. I had the honour to present
our team's most interesting results at several national and international conferences and papers.

Budapest/HUNGARY Born: 5 January 1975, Budapest mobile phone.: +36 70 631 75 15 e-mail: fusi.balazs@gmail.com PROFESSIONAL PROFILE During the 16 years of my professional history as a geophysicist, I worked on the whole process chain of the geophysical research: from operating and maintaining the instruments on the field campaigns via collecting, processing and interpreting the measured and archive geophysical and remote sensing (imagery and SAR) data, amended by writing suitable codes to ease data processing, inversion, storage and web publishing to state-of-the-art research planning and project coordination. I had the opportunity to work on several complex projects as a member of the Hungarian Geological and Geophysical Institute, was involved in planning, organizing, executing, implementing electric, electromagnetic, radiation-detecting, landslide-monitoring, remote sensing aerial and field measurement campaigns. Leading the Hungarian team in the DORIS EU FP7 project gave me the chance to work with the European group of researchers in landslide and remote sensing and try the new methods in satellite and ground-based SAR image processing and interpretation. Learning new methods, softwares and programming languages rapidly is my skill which my team can always count on. Working on the field during extreme conditions (winter, rain, mines, caves, etc.) perfectly fits to my leisure activities, mountaineering and caving. I had the honour to present our team's most interesting results at several national and international conferences and papers.
