• Objectives and final assessment criteria are
prescribed for all MYP subjects and personal
project
• Students must satisfy the assessment
requirements in all eight subject groups
• The school’s MYP coordinator as the
intermediary for any communication with the IB
Organization
Languages
• The MYP may be taught in any language or
languages (+ English, French or Spanish)
• Some languages A and B may need approval
from the IB Organization
• The IB Organization may also approve
language courses that are equivalent to MYP
language
Use of student materials submitted to the IB
Organization
• All forms of written work, audio and visual materials,
computer programmes and data
• Ss retain copyright in all materials submitted for
monitoring and moderation purposes
• Materials are held on behalf of the IB Organization
• Materials may be changed to meet particular needs
and will anonymize them before publication
• In some cases the materials may be used only for
moderation and monitoring of assessment purposes
and become its property
Assessment

 Procedure :
The work of MYP Ss is internally assessed by
teachers (through the process of external
moderation of schools’ internal assessment)
Eligibility for the MYP certificate
Registration Process for grades validated by the IB
Notice of assessment requirements
Grades validated by the IB Organization
 Internal Assessment according to its subject –
specific assessment criteria that address the
objectives in the appropriate group
 Determination of grades:
Moderation of Ss’ Work
Moderators appointed by the IBO and assess
Ss’s work according to the subject –specific
assessment criteria
Validated grades are determined by the IBO
Students’ grades may or may not be adjusted
Award of the MYP Certificate and MYP Record of
Achievement
 Conditions:
 Ss, whose grades have been validated by the
IBO
 Registered Ss who have participated in years 4
and 5 of the programme and have achieved an
overall standard (Ss should have*)
 The IBO will issue an MYP record of
achievement to each S indicating
