The document describes the isolation and characterization of two additional cucurbitane glycosides, mogroside III A2 (1) and 11-deoxymogroside III (2), from the fruit of Siraitia grosvenorii. The structures of the two compounds were elucidated based on NMR spectral data including COSY, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY, as well as acid hydrolysis studies and comparison to literature data. Both compounds contained a cucurbitane aglycone moiety and D-glucose sugar units, with mogroside III A2 containing three glucose units and 11-deoxymogroside III containing two glucose units.
