Blizzard Entertainment is an American video game developer and publisher founded in 1991 that is now owned by Activision Blizzard. As a subsidiary, Blizzard develops games under its own name while being owned and funded by Activision Blizzard. Some of Blizzard's most famous franchises are World of Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft. While World of Warcraft is one of the largest massively multiplayer online role-playing games, Blizzard faces competition from free-to-play games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, RuneScape, and Guild Wars 2 which are developed and published by different companies.

• As a “subsidiary” gaming company, Blizzard
are an integrated operating model owned by a
company called “Activision Blizzard”.
• Activision Blizzard do not produce products
them selves, Blizzard and Infinity Ward do that
under there company name. Blizzard created
and sold the World Of Warcraft
franchise, Diablo franchise and the Starcraft
franchise.

and have worked with companies like

• Blizzard are famous for there MMORPG:
World Of Warcraft and more.

6. Blizzards competition
• Blizzard own one of if not THE worlds largest MMORPG.
• But with having to pay to be able to play, other RPG’s such as Star wars:
TOR, Runescape and Guild Wars 2 being free to play, the competition is
harsh.
• Guild Wars 2 was created by a company called ArenaNet
• RuneScape was created my a company called Jagex
• Star Wars: TOR was created by BioWare, EA and would have gone through
Lucas Arts as it is Star Wars branded
