excessively into a world wide mainstream gaming industry. This gaming
organization was founded by two men known as Peter Akemann and Doğan Köslü.
Treyarch has won many awards for their world wide success in titles such as Call Of
Duty: World At War, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 1&2. In 2001 Treyarch was taken over
by Activision. Also like Treyarch, Activision is an American gaming company that
produces video games. Activision was the worlds first independent developer of
video games and was founded in 1979. They also distribute video games on video
game consoles worldwide.
Rockstar
Rockstar is a video game company that is originated in the US, New York City. It is
mostly known for it’s popular gaming series Grand theft auto, which is a renowned
worldwide success. Rockstar is owned by an American publisher called ‘’Take-Two
Interactive’’, They also own the company 2K Games. They also specialize in the fields
of gaming as well as in the field development. Take-Two is a company owned by
Strauss Zelnick, also it is a Public sector company.

distributes games worldwide. EA has many gaming series, it’s most notable one is the FIFA

Ubisoft Entertainment S.A. is a worldwide video game publisher and developer based in the
country of France. There headquarters are located at Montreuil, France. Ubisoft has also
alongside its games has created its very own film division known as Ubisoft film division which
creates shows and films based on the games they develop and create. The company's largest
development studio is Ubisoft Montreal in Canada, which currently employs roughly 2,100
people.
Naughty Dog
Naughty Dog is was firstly founded as an independent developer in 1986 by Jason Rubin. This
American video game developer is based in Santa Monica, California. The studio was acquired
by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2001. Naughty Dog developed a lot of games including
well known titles such as, Crash Bandicoot, Uncharted and the last of us.

4. How does the gaming industry earn their
money?
The gaming industry rely on the amount of people that buy and play their games to earn their
money. The first most important stage for a gaming industry to earn there money is to have as
many sales as possible. The second is add-on e.g. ps3 have an online store accessible from the
console where you can by games digitally rather than disk and you can get hold of extra
features on your game for extra cost, in other words if there is a game where you happen to lack
coins, then you can just go on the store and purchase coins for money. There is a lot of
competition in the gaming industry and this consists of the two or three games being in the
same genre. E.g.

5. Synergy
Synergy is when something in the real world is used for another project of some
sort. When two different things from different groups form in one to make
something real.
There are many types of synergy in many types of games. In Grand Theft Auto there
is various amount of synergy.
One example is there are many landmarks and building in los Angeles that is used
in Grand Theft Auto’s map called Los Santos.
Los Santos is based in Vinewood which is known to be a replica of Hollywood.
Another synergy in Grand Theft Auto is the music listened to on the radio in cars.
The music in Grand Theft Auto is from real artists such as Rihanna and Asap Rocky.
