We live in times that are as exciting as unsure at once. For many it is the most stunning and promising era in human society and for others it is a scary derangement of the old world. To find a path which leads us into a great future we created a comprehensive study to get insights about possible ways and hypotheses.
MLOVE and VISITOR FIRST plan to expand their initial scoping research on the relations between people and future technologies of Mobility, Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Cities. It considers important questions such as the consequences of bringing cutting edge technology into everyday life and the hopes, visions and fears tied to this process. The social frameworks that produce these technologies will also be analyzed.
MLOVE is a global community that brings together CEOs, CMOs, innovators and startup entrepreneurs from across multiple disci- plines to share, learn and inspire ideas with an array of scientists, artists and other pioneers.
In VISITOR FIRST, MLOVE found a partner with several years of experience in the field of ethnographic research and holistic research designs within a business context.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

2. Is Evolving
Our World
Undergoing a Massive
Digital Transformation
Consumerization of Community
The New Normal
We are living in an interesting time that everything is evolving at a rapid rate. Our
world is undergoing a major digital transformation – everything that is changing or
moves is being measured. This is effecting everyone and everything we do.
With Twitter feeds coming in, we're now aware of things that we were not able
to know before. The world is being wired up with everything. The Internet of
Things promises to measure virtually everything that changes and moves in
real-time, connected to the web with enormous amounts of data becoming
available for our use and disposal.
What do we do with all of this data? That's an interesting question. What does
it mean? How will we go forward in this wired planet?
It is being pushed by the consumerization of people expecting a better experience.
People have come accustom to having information at their fingertips. That is easy,
secure, and reliable in accessing the information we need to make decisions. This
experience is now becoming expected from people in their workplace and from their
community’s government.
We need to build an environment that can connect and interpret this digital
transformation at scale. Or you will soon be consumed by data.
2
3. Vision
Enabling a
Smarter Community
Our
Connecting Content
and Providing
Context
How do you fix these limitations, resolve these ever growing challenges, inspire
innovation, and have the capabilities of a smart community?
You start by understanding what connects all these drivers—DATA and specifically
two elements of all data—Location and Time. These two attributes give context to
all data, which is the first step in solving problems and becoming a smart community.
It is noted in many studies that location and the science of understanding these
relations, is critical in their approach to being a smart community. This science and
tool to enable smart communities is GIS.
GIS and mapping. They're becoming essential elements, a kind of
fundamental language, a language for understanding our world. Like Richard
Saul Wurman said, "Understanding is really where it's at." But also managing
our world going forward. Understanding precedes action.
This language is providing us all the rich content of our world and will continue
to be the framework in the future. But it also is a language providing us
context of the world so that we see the context of the way things are. You
work is the evidence of that, and it's about everything. It's not just about
everything, but all of the inter-relationships of everything, the
interconnectedness of it.
3
4. Here I'll talk about the technology aspect, is getting smarter. The technology is
not enough, but it's worth acknowledging that the capabilities that exist today
are allowing us to become smarter. It's integrating and leveraging so many
new tools — faster computing, of course, more IoT, remote sensing, more
data collection, more types of data are being observed and collected. Also
connectors and integration between these new data sets and analytical
systems. Also more advanced tools for analysis of these very large datasets,
looking at not only 2D and 3D, but also space-time analysis to give us insights
to what the future may hold if we do this or we do that.
GIS is your platform for taking the rich data that is being collected throughout
your community and turn it into information for decision making. This will help
our organizations work smarter, for us to be smarter, for us to be more
conscious of what we're up to.
4
5. GIS Provides the Framework and Process
Transforming How We Think and Act . . .
. . . Creating a More Sustainable Future
For Enabling a Smarter World
Data Integration
and Management
Visualization
and Mapping
Analysis
and Modeling
Action
Decision-
Making
Planning and
Design
GIS is enabling a smarter world to take shape. While advances in technology are
certainly facilitating this evolution, it is the people who use GIS who are responsible
for making this change take hold.
GIS and maps are the common language that brings us together: they help us
communicate, they help us understand, and they will help us act.
GIS—your profession, your technology—provides the framework and the process for
creating…a smarter world
With its ability to integrate and manage data, GIS transforms abstract information
into visual models—maps, charts, and 3D representations—that are increasingly
informing people and organizations all over the world. The technology integrates
content and provides the context for understanding why things are the way they are,
allowing anyone who uses GIS to analyze the interrelationships among various
phenomena. By using this technology to connect and collaborate, people and
organizations can gain a better understanding of the forces that shape the world we
live in today, with the goal of discovering and designing better paths toward a more
sustainable future.
GIS is undergoing a transformation as well. With the Internet of Things (IoT)
promising to measure in real time virtually everything that changes or moves, a
massive digital transformation is under way. Enormous amounts of data are now
becoming more widely available, and maps have the ability to not only visualize this
information but also integrate data from many sources and communicate this
information to people and organizations.
5
6. Esri has the tools that Penang needs to put Smart City initiatives into action. And,
today we are going to put it in the Smart City Penang frameworks.
Be it
• Smart Living = safe, liveable
• Smart Governance = well run
• Smart People = liveable and healthy
• Smart Economy
• Smart Environment for sustainable future
And we have done this before and in this session we are going to share with you a
few success stories and best practices.
6
7. ESRI platform forms a backbone for end-to-end city planning and development globally
But the real question is Where should we start?
Like I mentioned earlier, LOCATION is the fundamental for any city planning, design
and management.
In your mind, you might wonder how do I maximise the value utilisation for my city
space and how would it affect infrastructure or the citizens? So Location Intelligence
is crucial and one of the best practice implemented.
and Esri PLATFORM has been a backbone for end-to-end city planning and
development globally.
7
8. Global Smart Cities Using GIS
Singapore
Honalulu, Hawaii
Masdar City, Abu Dhabi
Los Angeles
Gift City, India
And these are some of the cities that have implemented Smart City concepts with
our platform. Like Singapore, Masdar city abu dabhi, LA, Honalulu and even Gift City
in India. For example, Esri technology helped Singapore to develop smart city
models, and Los Angeles uses Esri as an open data platform to reach out their
citizens. And am going to share with you in bits on the real live apps.
8
9. INNOVATION AND ENGAGEMENT
And how do they do it?
Through the Hub, where it provides innovations and engagement.
The Hub makes it possible to reach the goals of community-focused initiatives faster
and more effectively. The Hub framework creates an enabled civic engagement
platform that improves data sharing, communication, analysis, and collaboration,
both within organizations and with the communities they serve. The Hub unites the
efforts of governments, citizens, NGOs, start-ups, businesses and academia to create
better engagements.
9
10. Every city has aspirations for the what they want to become.
For example, among the smart city goals…
A Livable
and Sustainable City
A Safe City
With a Focus on Public Safety
A Prosperous City
with Economic Development
A Well Run City
through Government Efficiency A Smart Community
Community Tech Hub
Every city has Smart City aspirations
10
11. Those aspirations get translated into actionable, real-world SMART APPS
Implement
Performance
Management
Implement Smart
Parking
Increase Recreation
Opportunities
Create More Affordable
Housing
Better Traffic Safety
Improve Water
Conservation
Reduce Traffic
Congestion
Improve Emergency
Response Times
Reduce
Homelessness
Create Job
Availability
Use Less
Energy
Encourage
Startups
Cleanliness
Health
Urban
Planning
So those aspirations get translated into actionable real world smart apps.
These are among the common initiatives in most state and local government
implemented worldwide, for instance like reduce traffic congestion.
11
12. SMART APPS
Discover Greater Value from Your Big Data
Visualize and analyze your big data in a way that reveals
patterns, trends, and relationships that reports don't. Even if
your data exists in many disparate places, streams, or web logs,
Esri technology can pull it all together to help focus your
decision making.
Esri with ArcGIS platform provides you with more than 150
apps and app templates, meaning that there is an app (or
more) for every member of your community.><This means that
no coding is required and you can get operational very quickly>
12
13. NYC Collisions, which maps the numbers of motor vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian
fatalities and injuries in New York City.
14
14. The apps that help to find a home with similar lifestyle characteristics as your
15
15. Visualizing crime in New York City using animated 3D Heat Maps. Show monthly heat
map/density of incidents of crime within 500 meter of the location
16
16. So this is another example of live smart application on parking site and feeds coming
from the connected cars, where it can provides the availability of parking to the end
user (driver) in a mobile application in Brazil. So the one that you are seeing now is
actually the operations dashboard used by the operation departments to track and
monitor and get the live feeds of parking availability, hence provide a better parking
management in the city area. Of course the driver or public would not see the
information as detail as this one, rather they would have it in a simpler friendly
version of mobile application through their devices like, Waze or Grab.
17
