This document presents an experimental and numerical analysis of the axial crushing behavior of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) frusta tubes, highlighting their fabrication, testing, and performance under quasi-static crush conditions. The study reveals that the 5° frusta exhibited superior crashworthiness compared to the 10° frusta, with both experimental and simulation results showing good agreement. Key parameters analyzed include energy absorption and damage progression, utilizing an anisotropic damage model to predict failure characteristics.
