Case Studies
During the pursuit at a large state agency the project team needed to quickly stand-up various Oracle application
instances to demonstrate its capabilities.
Case Study: Large Local State
Agency
Business Challenge
Project description
State agency in one of the largest cities
in the US.
Company Description
Solution
Conduct Conference Room Pilot to demonstrate capabilities with Oracle
eBusiness Suite r12, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise
Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Portal.
Accenture responded to a proposal to implement Oracle Financials and a
reporting solution based on OBIEEE. In addition, the client was interested in
using Oracle Portal as the front-end system as well as implementing a solution to
integrate with their existing LDAP.
Established two AMIs :
•AMI #1: Oracle eBusiness Suite r12, Oracle Portal, OID
•AMI #2: OBIEE, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle SOA Suite
The client did not have architecture readily
available.
The client wanted to see the functionality of the
solution prior to making a decision
Use of third party hosting vendors was costly and
time consuming.
Our project team needed to stand-up an Oracle Hyperion FM environment (FM + FR + FDQM) for development
and test purposes (available for project team from different locations).
Hyperion Case Study:
European Utilities Company
Business Challenge
Project description
Utility company that is an integrated
group heading the regulated gas sector
in a major European country in terms of
its regulatory asset base.
It transports and dispatches natural
gas, re-gasifies liquefied natural gas
and distributes and stores natural gas,
with acknowledged expertise.
Company Description
Solution
Design and build of management and statutory reporting solution integrated with
accounting system (SAP R/3) and planning solution (SAP SEM).
The initiative includes New Group reporting model design, gap analysis of
different companies controlling models after acquisition of two companies
operating in different business.
The solution is based on Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
(rel. 9.3.1.) integrated with Accounting System (SAP R/3) and
planning system (SAP SEM) through Financial Data Quality
Management (FDQM)
• 1 Windows 2003 AMI with S3 attached storage
The project has high visibility within the client, since
it manages a critical processs.
Only pre-production and production environments
are based on client facility.
Use of third party hosting vendors was costly and
time consuming.
Our project team needed to stand-up an Oracle eBusiness Suite and Hyperion FM environment for development
and test purposes.
Hyperion/Oracle EBS Case
Study: Retail Company in Asia
Business Challenge
Project description
Large retail company in Asia
Company Description
Solution
Design and build a financial reporting solution integrated with back-office Oracle
Financials system
The instance would be used to support the Conference Room Pilot (CRP) and
Development efforts for the project team
The solution is based on Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
(r11) integrated with Oracle eBusiness Suite r12.1.1
• 1 Large Windows 2003 AMI to support Hyperion
• 1 Medium (HIGH-CPU) AMI to support Oracle eBusiness Suite
• Oracle Financials instance
• Vision Demo
The client did not have hardware available to
support the project team
Use of third party hosting vendors was costly and
time consuming.
