4. LAND PREPARATION
Land should be properly prepared to form a weed
free field
Apply 12.5 tonnes of FYM/hac
The field must be ploughed 2-3 times with
harrow before pre-sowing irrigation
A Levelled compact seed bed field is required for
good germination
5. Time of sowing :Mid oct – Mid nov
Spacing :25-30 cm should be kept between rows
sowing depth : 3-4 cm
Method of sowing:Broadcasting , drilling , zero tillage drill

7. Water management:
1.Oats requires higher water than wheat
