2018 has been exciting for Pakistan’s auto industry as many foreign investors and car makers have vowed to bring their top of the line vehicles to the local market. Many companies have already confirmed their plans for investing in Pakistan in the coming year, while others are in the process of acquiring the necessary approvals and local support. Pakistan government passed the "Auto Policy 2016-21", which offers tax incentives to new automakers to establish manufacturing plants in the country. Renault, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Volkswagen, FAW and many Chinese car makers have expressed interest in entering the Pakistani market. So far more than 12 automakers have announced to collaborate with different companies in Pakistan, under the Greenfield as well as Brownfield investment categories.

MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) sensor data are highly useful for field research. However, the volume of MODIS data and the complexity in data format makes MODIS data less usable for some communities. To expand the use of MODIS data beyond traditional remote sensing specialists, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) prepares and distributes subsets of selected Land Products in a scale and format useful for undergraduate students and field researchers. MODIS subsets are provided for more than 1,000 sites across the globe. The subsets are offered in tabular ASCII format and in GIS compatible GeoTIFF format. Time series plots and grid visualizations to help characterize field sites are also provided. In addition to offering subsets for fixed sites, the ORNL DAAC also offers the capability to create user-defined subsets for any location worldwide. The MODIS Global subsetting tool provides subsets from a single pixel up to 201 x 201 km for user-defined time range. Statistics, time series plots and GIS compatible files for the customized subsets are also distributed through this tool. Users can also programmatically retrieve the subsets through a SOAP based Web Service.

Social Media and the Automotive IndustryMarkIT Group
Informative presentation on social media in the automotive industry, answers what is social media, examples of car manufacturer use of social media, local dealership social media programs, MARKIT Group social media program, social media launch and monthly content syndication
The automotive industry is changing rapidly, leading some in the field to a conclusion that soon cars may become the most technologically advanced products that consumers will ever buy.
The transition from a primarily mechanical-based to a software-based industry leads some to claim that car manufacturing is focusing less on transportation but rather on technology.
Since those changes will sooner or later affect most of the world’s population, it is fascinating to take a closer look as to what is currently happening in the automotive industry.
The report presents the car industry based on the Customer Value Canvas and will highlight innovation within the core product, added-value services, customer/shopping experience and brand communication, and as they are all important in customer’s overall impression.
This is a presentation about the country's Small Car Segment leader- MSIL. Includes a brief analysis of the company. A presentation should be incomplete without the presenters, hence, these slides contain only brief words, which needs to be explained by the presenters to the audience.

Market
Turkish automotive components industry has become an integrated part of the global
automotive industry. Components for local and global markets, as well as for OEMs and
aftermarkets are manufactured. %70 of the production is exported to Europe.
International manufacturers
Due to the high export potential of the sector and Turkey’s regional advantages, the component
sector has been attracting foreign investors. At present about 200 foreign companies including
the global leaders at the sector have joint-ventures and manufacturing facilities in Turkey.
Quality
Turkish component manufacturers are the pioneers of Turkish companies for the “European
Quality Award”. Most of the manufacturers have international quality certificates such as ISO
9000, QS 9000, ISO 14000, ISO TS 16949 etc.
