intelligent power management system.
 The usual rear view mirrors have been placed for twin rear facing video
camera which show images on the twin rear facing video cameras .

8. PRODUCTION OF NISSAN SUNNY BEGINS IN INDIA
 NISSAN MOTOR has announced the start of the production of their sunny at
their Oragadam plant in Chennai
 The second completely locally made car will roll out in 15 months.
 The SUNNY will have 85 percent of its parts made locally which could keep the
cost of this international model in check with MICRA which is currently being
made in Chennai and being exported to the rest of the countries around the
world.

9. FORD TO BUILD ITS NEW PLANT IN GUJARAT
 FORD INDIA has laid the first bricks for its new state of art integrated
manufacturing facility soon to come at sanand, Gujarat .
 The company has invested Rs 46 billion in the plant that will create
5000 jobs and will produce 2,40,000 units initially ,but has a capacity to
produce 2,70,000 units . The first vehicle will come off the line from the
plant in 2014.
 The company has also committed in bringing eight new vehicles to India
by 2015 ,the first being the all new Fiesta which was launched in July
this year.
 These products are expected to strengthen Fords position in existing
swgments while driving new growth in others.

10. PRICE RISE ROCKS AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY
 The Automobiles firms like the MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA and HYUNDAI MOTORS
have decided to increase their cost of cars.
 One of the biggest car manufacturers MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA has declared that
except for their new small car ALTO the price of all their models will increase
up to Rs 8000.
 MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA Managing Executive Manager Officer MR. MAYANK
PAREEK stated that they had indeed hiked the price from 17 Jan .
 Material cost that amounts to 80 percent of the cost of production of the car
increase in the input cost puts pressure on the profitability .

11. NANO TO BE AVAILABLE IN OTHER DEVELOPING MARKETS
 TATA MOTORS smallest car NANO will be available in developing countries like
Africa ,Latin America within one or two years.
 The company CEO – CARL PETER FORSTER stated that the company believed that NANO
is the car for the developing market.
 Outside India it will only be available in the developing markets like other countries
of ASIA .
 He also stated that people in the developing market might be able to and interested
in buying their car .

12. TATA MOTORS STAKES SURGES ALL TIME HIGH
 Along with firm investor confidence the automobile giant TATA MOTORS
Surged by its 4 percent to its all time high .
 The auto giant emerged as the top performer of the first half of the trade
on the BSE .
 The company has emerged as a buoyant in the automobile sector .
