3. Program Description
The Automotive Collision Repair Program is a 5 semesters-
long (including core), full-time, day program offered on
Moultrie’s Industrial Drive Campus.
Automotive Collision Repair Program is designed to prepare
you for a Career in the Collision Repair Industry and to help
you develop the skills to obtain and keep a job in the Industry.
Skills are developed through a series of courses designed to
prepare you for a career in the Collision repair industry and
live hands on work in the Lab.

Opportunities: There are endless job opportunities available as a Collision
Repair/Refinish Technician .Detailing, Painters helper , Painter , Body Tech Repair
Helper , Body Tech , Paint Supply Tech , Asst. Body shop Manager , Body shop
Manager , Insurance Claims Appraiser , Insurance Claims Adjuster
Salary: The following are estimates based on employment trends in this area.
Full time employee 40Hrs/ week 15,000.00-60,000.00 / year
Advancements in the Field: Varies depending on place of employment. Some
examples would include: advancing from pay based on hourly wages to being payed
a flat rate and advancing in increased commission; advancements from helper to
technician” of a facility with benefits; advancements in certifications to specialize
are endless, but may or may not affect your pay scale; advancements from
Technician to Manager or to the Insurance Claims industry.

All core classes can be taken in one semester or
taken along with Program classes.

1 ½ year for joint diploma covering both
specialties.

(1)Automotive Collision Repair - AU02 (Diploma) covers both specialty areas painting/collision
repair with diplomas offered in only one specialty area.
(2)Automotive Paint/Refinishing Specialist - 5DX1 (certificate)
(3)Automotive Body Repair Assistant - 5DV1 (certificate)
(4)Automotive Refinishing Assistant - 5DW1 (certificate)

($1,335 for 15 hours or more)

8. Prerequisite Course Fees
Each semester you are registered as a student in your
core/program courses.
You will also be required to pay for book, equipment, and
supply fees that exceed your financial support from HOPE and
Pell grant.
Book/supplies prices will vary depending on courses registered
and on up to date publisher pricing.
9. Frequently Asked Questions
What if I fail a course in the middle of the program? Do I
have to start back from the beginning?
No. You have to wait until the next semester or until the
course is offered again , at this time as a full time day
student all courses are offered every semester.
Do I have to do book work and test? Yes on every course
you will be registered in. Also there is an entrance/exit
exam everyone is required to pass to graduate.Also we
have lecture and lab time everyday.
