Abstract:
In order to cope up with the growing problem of traffic congestion several means
and methods have been implemented.For reducing this problem,an efficient method
for traffic monitoring can be implemented by providing the availability of the
parking spaces in advance. Since there exist no such system we intend to develop
one using sensors and RFIDs.In proposed system, we consider car park equipped
with sensors(IR) which checks for the availability of parking slots and updates the
information periodically.This updated information is provided to the user via an
android application. Using this application user gets directed towards the parking slot
by using the shortest path algorithm(Dijikstra s). Also to avoid traffic congestion due
to parking charges, car is associated with a unique RFID tag for the wallet parking.

Reflection 27: Acuity as an English II Predictor Methods Linear regression allows
researchers to analyze cause and effect or predictive relationships among variables
(Creighton, 2007). For this assignment, I set out to conduct a regression analysis in
hopes of answering two questions: (1) is there a relationship between student scores
on Acuity, our school wide interim testing program, and their performance on the
English II state assessment?, and (2) if the relationship is significant, can Acuity
results be used to predict student performance on the state test? To conduct this
analysis I used the 2015 Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and
Careers (PARCC) English II assessment results as well as the Acuity data from the
first semester screener which was given in December 2014. This test was the last
comprehensive Acuity exam given to English II students during the 2014 2015
school year (a PARCC issued practice test was used during third nine weeks exams).
My student sample included all students who had both a December Acuity score in

This exercise dealt with the melting points of pure mandelic acid and benzoic acid.
The eutectic temperature and composition of mandelic and benzoic acid mixtures
were determined. And finally, an unknown was identified by its mixtures and melting
point.
The melting point of a compound is used by organic chemists not only to identify the
compound, but also to establish its purity. To determine the melting point two
temperatures were noted. The first was the point at which the first drop of liquid
formed among the crystals; the second was the point at which the whole mass of
crystals turned to a clear liquid. And the melting point was recorded from this ... Show

tube was loaded with the unknown powder and inserted into the melting apparatus.
The temperatures at which the crystals first started to liquefy and when the entire
sample became liquid were recorded. The melting point was then compared with

The theme of perseverance is prominently featured through both Alive and Robinson

The way the authors present these themes, develop characters and setting is how my

Both novels are based on adventures and describe the life of the characters as they
survive after being marooned in a remote place; however they are two different
genres. Alive is a creative nonfiction novel written in 1974 by Piers Paul Read,
which documents the events in 1972 when a plane carrying 45 passengers crashed in
the Andes. The genre allows Read to recount the survivor s events in the most
detailed, accurate way while also using literary techniques associated with fiction to
create an interesting novel. In the extract (page 213 214), Read exhibits the
conventions of creative nonfiction, for example Parrado , and Canessa are characters
but they are based on and represent the survivors and their emotions, attitudes and
values. The extract focuses on the physical and mental perseverance of Canessa and
Parrado, who despite difficulties, manage to climb the mountain after three days.

Schutz titled, Open Casket. Open Casket is an abstract painting of a young black
14 year old boy who was murdered and mutilated by two white men because he was
mistakenly accused of sexually harassing a 21 year old white women. The painting
portrays the face of Slain Emmett Till lying dead in his coffin. The controversial
painting was displayed at the Whitney Museum of American Art in NY. The protest
began when an African American Artist, Parker Bright started a harmless protest in
front of the Open Casket painting wearing a Black Death Spectacle shirt. Since then
many others have come to protest and block people from seeing the open casket
painting. Protesters argue that a white women does not have the right to create art
around a black matter subject . Dana Schutz has argued that the painting was meant
to show the distress of a mother losing her son. Overall the painting does bring back

The reason behind such decision is that unless in urgent situations, other people
expect them to text, the technology that is more prevalent and requires less effort to
respond than phone (Turkle 375). Although Tara and Leonora are discontent, but do
not feel they have a choice. This is where technology has brought them (Turkle
375). From those examples, we can easily observe that because the notions of using
certain technology have already became parts of our general social roles, people can
no longer resist the influence of it regardless of our feeling.
In the meantime, we are also forced to mentally adapt popularity and efficiency, the
core values of modern technologies. In analogy, humans evolve (in the bigger and
smaller scale) not only because of our side environment, but also the pressure under
the notion that only the fittest among us can survive. In the comparison between
phone calls and texts, texts are not any more technologically advanced than phone
calls are. However, we in general still prefer texts, and intentionally or unintentionally
make others around us use them because of the efficiency behind them. Moreover,
when the popularity of texts is accumulated, such preference becomes further
irreversible. Back to the context of expectations and social roles, we enjoy popularity
as the outcome of pluralism, the conformity of social roles and expectation. In
