Augmented reality is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information.
Disrupting Reality: Taking Virtual & Augmented Reality to the EnterpriseCognizant
The impact of virtual and augmented reality platforms and applications will be profound for enterprises across industries, allowing companies to transform processes and improve how employees work, communicate and collaborate. All within a real-time, "real-life" environment that reduces the need for physical premises and presence.
Augmented Reality (AR) is like a magical window into a world where imagination meets reality. It's the futuristic technology that brings digital wonders to life, seamlessly blending virtual elements with our everyday surroundings. With AR, your world becomes a canvas where you can interact, explore, and discover hidden treasures that exist beyond the ordinary. It's a journey where the lines between what's real and what's not blur, inviting you to step into a realm where possibilities are endless and the extraordinary becomes the norm.
Augmented Reality (AR) is a cutting-edge technology that combines digital data and virtual objects on the actual world, improving our perception and interaction with it. It perfectly combines the physical and digital worlds, resulting in immersive experiences that have revolutionised a variety of sectors.
Designing the future of Augmented RealityCarina Ngai
Presented on March 4th, 2016 at Interaction16 in Helsinki, Finland.
Until now, augmented reality has so far been mostly a sci-fi vision that overlays visual information to what we see in the physical world. It’s widely perceived as a “cool and interesting feature” for brands and advertising, but doesn’t have much practicality yet. To harness the real power of AR, which includes geolocation, image recognition, we believe that a more utilitarian visual search would be next.
To design for such possibilities, we begin to question even the fundamental basis of AR. For example, what would AR become beyond a rich visual layer? Will this change people’s motivation and behavior to use AR? How can we redefine AR to be a tool to give augmented information on objects? And how we can speculate its usage in the future?
Immersive technologies such as virtual and augmented reality are currently taking the world by storm. Over the past three years, we’ve seen a huge interest in immersive technologies from the likes of advertising agencies, games developers, construction companies and more… Here we take a look at what the hype is all about and what the future holds for these technologies!
"Discover the transformative world of Augmented Reality (AR) in our latest presentation! Dive deep into the nuances of AR, exploring its evolution, applications, and future potential. From immersive gaming experiences to revolutionary business solutions, learn how AR is reshaping the digital landscape. Whether you're a tech enthusiast, a professional looking for innovative solutions, or just curious about the next big thing in digital technology, this presentation has something for you. Boost your knowledge and stay ahead of the curve with our comprehensive guide.
Isobar predicts that 2018 will be the year of Augmented Humanity, a year where technology enhances and scales our most human attributes. In 2018, technological interfaces will become more natural and instinctive, technology will automate repetitive tasks to free up time for creativity and compassion, and artificial intelligence will meet emotional intelligence.
In this presentation, Aqib introduces IoT and associated trends. Aqib's interest area is gaming where he would like to use sensors to calculate a user's power and then use augmented reality to give a realistic experience.
Imagine a future where every sensory experience is quantified, calculated, predicted and digitized. A virtual simulated reality that is indistinguishable from the reality we see around us now.
This is the presentation delivered by Gray Scott at London Business School's 2015 Global Leadership Summit.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
