- 1. Audience Feedback Audience Feedback for our first cut music video by other A Level Media students.
- 2. What did they like? It follows the generic conventions, for example a link between the lyrics and visuals. This helps the narrative to flow. It has a clear narrative structure which is easy to understand. The slow motion shot of Jeff in the shower scene is very effective (also links to the lyrics). The lighting of Jeff is good as it makes a silhouette. They liked the creativity of layering different shots of cars and Jeff walking past however slight adjustments to the transparency could be made. The match-on-action shot is accurately timed and edited, and they liked how it was from a wide variety of angles.
- 3. Improvements and suggestions? The found the car shots were unnecessary however we believe that it represents his desire of escapism from his problems and it also isolates him; in the shots he is shown to be in deep thought which does follow our narrative. Some shots needs stabilisation. Some shots are repeated (or similar kinds of shots) so they told us to get more footage, and footage that is varied and interesting so the audience does not get bored from watching our video. We need to make sure we create a definite ending to make the narrative even stronger.
