The class has 23 students, with 8 males and 15 females. The objective is for students to learn how to draw Lewis dot structures and create 3D models of compounds using online or downloaded programs. Students will spend most of the day practicing drawing Lewis dot structures and converting them to 3D models. By the end of the day, the teacher expects students to be able to identify bond types and element valence from any structure, and draw the Lewis dot structure and 3D model with 95% accuracy.
