Analyze Learners: The class is a group of junior and seniors in high school. There is 8 males and
15 females. Learning styles can vary from all ends of the spectrum.
State Objectives:The class will take what they learned throughout the week so far to use in
telling the difference in non-polar, polar, and ionic bonds. They will learn from multiple types of
technology. I’ll start the day off with a video I had created to explain the difference in the three
bonds. Than we will jump into lecture with me using my poster to reference to in the beginning.
From there we will work a couple of problems making sure they got it and they get to use twitter
to answer with. At the end of the day my students will be able to tell the difference between all
three bonds and explain the differences of each. They will be able to do this with a 92%
accuracy.
Select Methods: We would start off with them watching a video and than we will jump into
lecture with me using my poster as a reference. Then towards the end of the day we will work
through some problems and they will use twitter to answer the questions.
Utilize Media: When I got to school I will make sure all the equipment in the class is working
correctly such as the computers and my projector. I will than check and make sure I have my
poster and it is up and ready to be used. Then I will make sure I have multiple examples of all
three types of bonds for us to practice at the end of the day.
Require Learner Participation: During theanswering on twitter the whole class will be interacted
and creating a network at the same time.
Evaluate and Revise: At the end I will see what they got from the lesson by what they are
tweeting for answers. I will ask them what they thought and how I could make it any better.
