Prepare a presentation document illustrating how consumers use technology and its impact on
their lives. You will need to conduct online research so you can understand how audiences use
technology and its impact on their lives. Your presentation document will be a series of slides
which include a collection of images, graphs and written descriptions (see the example of a slide
in the Supplementary Materials section).

Introduction
Internet connected the world together. Since the dotcom bursted in 2000, technology keep upgrading and it's changing
our lives to become more convienence and efficiency.

We have around 60% Internet users in the world and it growth 1,187% in past 20 years.

The average internet users spent 6 hours and 43 minutes online a day. If we allow roughly 8 hours sleep a
day, we spend more than 40% of our waking time using the internet.

Users use variety devices to go online. Mobile phones and Laptops & Desktops are the majority.

Users' majority use on Chat Apps and Social Networking Apps which both also contribute 89%.

Users has multiple devices for access internet: laptop, desktop, tablet, mobile phone, digital watch, google
ring, google glasses, gps etc. It makes our live more easy to access and being connected.

Users use various channels to search information and recommendation. The most popular search engines
are Google, Bing, Yahoo Search, Yandex, Baidu. On top of type search, users can access search engines
through voice search like Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Now.

Since the internet is more convience and make many things more seamless. A rising trend that more and
more customers purchase online. They purchase goods like gocery, clothes, shoes, beauty products,
furniture, laptops, digital devices etc. On top of that, customers will purchase service online as well. For
instance, online training, study course, consultation or after sales service etc.

Customers have more consistent preference on video. And, Millennails are preferred video than branded
emails.

According to Mohsin, Everyday user watch one billion hours of video on YouTube and generate billions of
views from YouTube report. Besides of users use YouTube for entertaining video, they use it as a credibility
content sources as well.

Over past few years, new techonology are connected users to enhance their daily life.

According to Angus, consumer trend will tend to be the multifunctional Homes that conusmer's homes
evolving beyond the traditional function of living and sleeping. More towards to the hub for many activities
- work, shop, play and exercise. Consumers want greater flexibility in their lifestyles and high-speed internet
access. Technology advancement are enabling them to do more in and from their homes.
In conclusion, technology is helping us to improve our life more convienient and efficiency. Since we can be
more seamless to connect to the world. We have below benefits and its a rising trend to improve our life
continuely.
1. E-commerce
Due to the payment technology is upgrading and the omni channels support, it is more convienence to
purchase online. Physical stores are changing to a experience places instead of just retail.
2. Connected to Multifunction Hubs
Digital gadgets, wearable devices or mobile apps are connected and easiler to control everythings by
shortcut.
3. Video Consumption
Video consumption is a rising trend. Powerful content video is more important and it is a credibility
sources when consumer considering a new product or branding.
4. Search technology
Search is another critical technology. Customers will search by type and voice to compare before made
the purchase decision.

  • #4 First of all, I would like to ask you a question...have you ever forget to bring mobile when you go out? How do you feel? I feel uncomfortable and can't communicate with others ..it seems disconnected...it worse than i forget to bring my wallet. Internet is so important and technology is impacting our daily lives. Do you know when do we start to have internet? It started from 1971. However, it become more popular after the dotcom bust in 2000. The technology changed rapidly in last 20 years.
  • #5 In worldwide, there are 60% of internet users and it growth 1,187% in past 20 years.
  • #6 The average internet users spent 6 hours and 43 minutes online a day. If we allow roughly 8 hours sleep, we spend more than 40% of our waking time using the internet.
  • #7  What device will you use to access internet? According to Hootsuite 2020, the majority is Mobile. It contributed over 53% of users. Then followed by Laptops & Desktops.
  • #8  What mobile apps will users use? The majority is chat apps and social networking apps which both contribute 89%. It implies users are connected and keep communication through technology.
  • #9 Will you use multiple devices to access internet? When you want to call a friend, 'Hi Siri, call Alex's mobile?' When you want to buy the lastest laptop, you will use your ipad to search unbox video on youtube. It's all helping us to improve our daily life, more easy to access and efficiency.
  • #10 When we do search, we are using search engines. The most popular search engines are Google, Bing, Yahoo Search, Baidu. On top of type search, voice search is a rising trend as well. we will use Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Now.

  • #12 On top of e-Commerce. Video is another rising trend. From HubSpot Content Trends Survey in Q3, 2017, Customers have more consistent preference on video. And, Millennails are preferred video than branded emails. Therefore, marketers will put more effort on video area.
  • #13 Youtube is one of the dominate video channel. Everyday users watch 1 billion hours of videos on YouTube and generate billions of views. It's a powerful marketing tool. According to Thinkwithgoogle 2019, 90 percent of people say they discover new brands or products on YouTube. Marketer should use Youtube to build brand content wisely.
