This document outlines a student group's plans for producing a video for an annual student awards ceremony at City of Westminster College. The group will film award winners and faculty at the college's Queen's Park campus discussing student achievements. They will use college branding and film students demonstrating the school's values. The group needs a camera, microphone, SD cards, and Final Cut Pro to edit the video for the 250-person audience. Meeting minutes describe filming classes and an interview at the Queen's Park campus to gather footage.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. Assignment 2 Unit 28
Assignment 2
Planning for
Production
By Mansour Ahaidi
2. Determine the requirements of
the brief
City Of Westminster College had annual events for the student
awards to celebrate the achievement throughout the year. This
year the principle of the college gave the BTEC Level 3 students
an assignment to produce one video for the students awards to
celebrate their achievements throughout the year. The video will
be shown on the last day of the term before their holiday.
David Pigden told the group to create a title sequence with VT
inserts, showing different sections and faculties across City Of
Westminster College.
3.
4. Queen’s Park
Campus
My group will travel to the Queens Park
Campus and will film the following areas
such as the SLDD Life skills class's, ITC,
food technology and painting and directing
where the students are working in their
class.
5. The Target Audience
The target audience for the award ceremony in City Of
Westminster College are the 250 people attending the
event. This includes students aged between 16-21,
staff, the governors that are representing the college.
6. Determine appropriate content and
style for the programme
The student that has won the award. As a group we will film the
student to tell us how they feel winning the City Of Westminster
College award. We will also film their tutors and teachers that know
them very well to tell us about the student’s quality and what was
the reason for winning the City Of Westminster College Award .
7. Appropriate techniques use in the
production process
In City Of Westminster College the website has a section about equality and diversity where they
celebrate every religion and background. In the website they have City Of Westminster College logo
with different colors and that represents multi cultural background of the college, and their support of
LGBT.
In my video I would use the City Of Westminster College logo to represent the college theme. I would
use the logo in the beginning and the end of the video.
I would emphasise the values of City Of Westminster College, which are Ambition, Responsibility and
Respect. I would do this by having the words come up on the video during the title sequence when the
presentation is on, so that the audience can be acknowledge what The City of Westminster College is
about.
City Of Westminster College has a Strategic Aim that the student should be successful in the City Of
Westminster College. I would film the students coming to college smiling with each other. They will
have grades in their hands and will be smiling.
I would promote the culture of continuous improvement, by filming students working hard in the library,
with teacher being available to help them.
To promote equality and diversity, I would film a staff member helping a disabled student by moving
their wheelchair, or guiding them to the class
8. Recourse That Is Needed
The recourse that we will need to record this assignment are the
following:
1. Panasonic Camera
2. Microphone
3. Different location’s
4. Finial Cut Program software
5. 64gb SD Card / 32gb SD Card
6. DSLR Camera
9. Identify appropriate techniques
to use in the production process
The appropriate techniques that we will use are different locations
such as the college classes, Outside college, and the Queens Park
Campus where the students will be.
Knowing how to use the equipment when recording. In this video we
will use different shots such as long shot , wide shot and many more.
Making sure that we are on top of everything during during this
assignment.
The music that I will use will be a low level sound track where the music
will be playing in the background.
The editing techniques that we will use in Final Cut Pro will be to make
the video highly professional for the audience to see.
10. Resources Available for the
Production Process
As a group we need to make sure that the
equipment is available for us to record.
Before recording we need to need to email the
staff to see whether they are free or not for the
interview.
Having a software to edit the the video to a
professional, such as Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, I
Movie etc.
11. Meeting Minutes
On 12/11/14 As a group we went to
Queens Park City Of Westminster
College and shoot cutaways in

interview.
