The study assesses the potential for installing solar panels on rooftops at Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHIATS) in Allahabad, India, by generating solar radiation maps using GIS and remote sensing techniques. Buildings were evaluated and ranked based on the amount of solar radiation they received, revealing that the Jacob School of Biotechnology & Bioengineering received the most solar radiation annually, while the School of Film and Mass Communication received the least. The research emphasizes the importance of spatial analysis for optimizing solar panel installation locations to promote sustainable energy use.
