•The Indians have a tradition of visual arts
dating back more than five thousand
years ago. The Indian works of art are
diverse in their style subject and medium

of philosophical musings and
manifestations of bhakti or devotes.
•BHAKTI – means “portion” or “share”.
It came from the root word bhaj, which

words ; deep which means “light” or “lamp”
and Avali which means “row”.
