From my preliminary task to the final magazine product, I learned how to better use my camera equipment and manage lighting and backdrops. I also improved at managing human resources like models, having to find someone specifically fitting for an indie pop magazine. Time management was more important for the final product, allowing for retakes if needed. My creative decisions changed significantly from the preliminary task, requiring audience research on indie pop genres. Problem solving for image editing was needed due to my model's frizzy hair not cutting out cleanly. Props like a guitar and costumes like a bright Hawaiian shirt helped achieve the indie pop aesthetic.

- 1. Artist Mise-en-scene At the start of the photo-shoot I had my main model wear very basic looking makeup. I liked this idea due to the fact that I want my magazine to be based purely on music with only a little bit of focus on the appearance and the fashion side of fame. Due to this is I had Laura wear minimal makeup right at the beginning. However as the photo-shoot progressed I asked her to put on some lipstick as I thought this would give her the typical “fame” appearance and meet the codes and conventions of a typical artist more. I knew what type of photo I wanted to use on my front cover and I knew what clothing item I wanted Laura to wear. I had seen many photos when looking at image ideas of people in high-necked tops or jumpers. From this I thought that it was a good idea to have an indie artist in very simplistic comfy clothing. I also
