This document outlines a video artistic pitch idea that depicts a soldier standing still with mud on his face and clothes. As the camera zooms in, the soldier has a startled expression as he sees flashes of experiments and history before his eyes, accompanied by increasing drum beats and words appearing on screen. Inspired by Thin Red Line's use of flashbacks to remind soldiers of home and past traumas, the style would use close-ups and visual expressions to juxtapose loss of hope with the warmth of fire. The location proposed is a dark, silent wooded area called Skipwith Common that was also used as an airfield in WWII. The flashes are meant to convey the soldier's pure terror of the past and future
