7. Task 2b – Action Plan/Schedule
3.1
• I have changed my plan quite dramatically from the original version of
the design by improving the shapes on the design to make my poster
look more fluid and easier to look at, with less sharp edges and more
inviting colours to look at.
9. Task 2c – Planning
• Poster background needs to be contrasting to the images on the poster
• Font needs to be interesting and relevant to the pop art theme
• Colours on the main image need to be captivating to keep the reader interested
• The writing needs to be specific and detailed, possibly brightly coloured to make the person viewing the
poster aware of what to read and what info is important
• For the actual production of the poster I’m going to use a bark blue background to contrast with the lighter
colours of the main logo layered on top of the background. I’m going to use a few different pop art images
from the artist Keith Haring to make the poster more interesting to loo at, rather than the name and the
background. The title of the exhibition is POP! Which I will use a font from the specific era to make the
theme clear. The different sets of information such as time date location and price will be in each corner of
the poster, drawing the viewers attention to each corner separately making them take in the whole poster
and design.

11. Task 4 – Production/Final Products

With my final product I went away from my initial design quite a
lot as you can see. I decided to get rid of the explosions that had
the details in and put them down at the bottom. I feel that this
makes it look a lot more professional and its definitely a lot easier
to read. I added a lot more of Keith Haring's work than I intended
to do in the plan but I feel like this makes the poster a lot more
interesting than I was going to make it. I also used Andy Warhol's
work and Roy Litchenstines but not as frequently as Haring's
because I feel like Haring's work suits the style more.
I used Photoshop to create my final product because I felt that it
would make it better looking than if I had created the product in
PowerPoint, like I did with the initial design.
Overall I feel like the final product has come out better than I
expected it to and I am pleased with the overall outcome.
12. Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving
• Describe three problems you faced in your project and how you
solved these
• 1. Finding a good book source. We fixed this by going to the library
and finding a suitable book
• 2. Finding suitable images/quotes for the poster. We managed to
solve this by looking through a lot of websites and books.
• 3. Incorporating non digital aspect into the poster. We did this by
printing out the poster and drawing people onto it.
3.3
13. Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others
• Choose three aspects of your production where you worked well with
your team and this benefited the project
• 1. We communicated well as a team and this meant that we could
work faster on the group work and make our posters before the
deadline
• 2. We were efficient as a team and like the communication this
helped us work and move everything faster.
