• My reaction to Ai Weiwei’s
Sunflower seeds, was that
something so distinguished when
see alone or up close looked so
different when put together with
the same object over 100 million
times
• The ideas and qualities that
inspired my response were the
repetition that was used and the
choice of composition material.
The sunflower seeds are well
known up close but from far away
they all blend together.

intent consisted of a free
and flexible aspect. The
images were colorful and
densely packed bottle caps
that were put together and
organized to reflect
moments in history.

• My reaction to El Anatsui’s
piece was that I thought it was
innovative to use common
object like bottle caps to form
a piece that can reflect an
historical event by the
movement created by the
