Implementation of a Management Production Schedule for...
Realco Breadmaster Company It is very important for a business to have a master production
schedule because it enables companies to determine whether or not it is meeting the demands of
production. Businesses without a master production schedule are at a huge disadvantage
compared to businesses that do have a MPS. For example, a business can have many products in
stock but can miss out on its profits due to the holding cost. Not having a MPS can cause
businesses to lack in supply which can result into customers receiving their products very late. A
company known as the Realco Breadmaster Company has experienced what it is like to be in
business without a MPS. Johnny Chang, the owner of the Realco Breadmaster Company, would
like to adopt a MPS for Realco so that the company can get back on its feet. Here s a sketch of the
MPS. Demand Management 1st Week 2nd Week 3rd Week 4th Week 5th Week 6th Week 7th Week
8th Week Weekly Demand for Bread 23,500 23,000 21,500 15,050 13,600 11,500 5400 1800

to meet the needs of its customers. The MPS consist of an eight week period of shipments that are
scheduled to be delivered to the company. However, once the eight weeks are up, there will be an
abundance of inventory left over.

Marriage And The Role Of Women

Marriage Essay
During the 14th century, marriage and the role of women in the marriage were very different
from today. Most marriages in the 14th century occurred between an older man and a young
girl; a girl is usually chosen because they were pure and could produce the most heirs. The bride
s family would pay the husband through a dowry, consisting of land, money, or anything of high
value. The more unattractive the women were, the more the family would have to pay the
husband. Right here, women are already being objectified by their looks. Men want a girl who
looks pure and untouched, why would anyone want a dirtied girl. Being someone who was not
good looking was an even bigger disgrace since your appearance does not please your husband,
you are not doing your job of keeping him happy. Women are often portrayed as an object of men
to be bought and fondled with; they are not allowed to control their lives. Geoffrey Chaucer took
part in telling the story of how many women acted in the 14th century and how the women were
portrayed at this time. Chaucer s views on marriage are made very clear throughout The Canterbury
Tales. He used the five marriage tales: The Shipman s Tale, The Wife s Prologue , The Clark s
Tale , The Merchant s Tale , and The Franklin s Tale to express his views on marriage, I was struck
most strongly by how much he knew about love, about men and women, by the depth and
complexity of an

Struggles and Desires in A Streetcar Named Desire by...
In the play A Streetcar Named Desire, author Tennessee Williams uses his three main characters
Stanley, Stella and Blanche to illustrate the theme of sexual hedonism in a world where each
struggles for survival and desires to belong. Stanley Kowalski and his wife Stella live in a two
room apartment on Stanley s blue collar salary. They are visited by Stella s sister Blanche Dubois
who has just lost the family plantation, Belle Reve. The three exist in the jungle society of New
Orleans where each is a victim of animal desires, social pressures and use sex to try and gain
control of the world around them.
Stanley is the protagonist who is trying to exist in the wild and as an untamed animal uses sex
as power and control. In the opening scene we see him toss meat wrapped in butcher paper to
Stella, almost like the lion who goes out to hunt and returns to the den with his kill, Stanley
carries his bowling jacket and a red stained package from a butcher...He heaves the package at her
(13, 14). Later in the play, during a poker game, Blanche continues to turn on the radio, even after
Stanley has demanded she leave it off. Stanley reacts, Stanley stalks fiercely through the portieres
into the bedroom... with a shouted oath, he tosses the instrument out the window (57). This is
followed by the beating of Stella by Stanley. Every instance of conflict for Stanley is resolved with
aggressive behavior, emphasizing his animal like tendencies, and how he uses violence to maintain

The Aims and the Results of the Attempts by the Nazi Regime to Transform German Society
When the Nazis came to power in 1933 they began to introduce a set of ideas into the German
society. These ideas were based on the Nazi ideology, which had been outlined by Hitler in his
book Mein Kampf or My Struggle a few years earlier. This essay will examine the Nazis attempts
to integrate their ideological beliefs about youth and about women into the German society. The
essay will also assess the success of this integration.
The Nazis had a number of different aims for the youth and therefore their education needed to be
suitable. The Nazis overall aim was to create a generation of racially pure ... Show more content on

Overall the Nazis aimed to concentrate a large majority of their resources on the conversion of the
youth to Nazi ideology. This was a key aim because the Nazis saw the youth as the future of
Germany and they wanted to have an influence over this generation. Another major aim for the
Nazis was the creation of a national racial community. This idea was known as the
Volksgemeinschaft and was central to the Nazi view of the future.
It wasn t only through youth groups that the youth were indoctrinated to the Nazi regime. The
education system was also completely geared to spreading the Nazi party propaganda. For example
the curriculum was designed around the Nazi ideology. Geography taught the boys map skills
and other skills that would be critical during a war. History taught the Nazi version of History,
which was a contrived version of events, which blamed the Jews for all of Germany s problems in
the past. Even subjects such as Maths were used by the Nazis to further their cause with lesson
concentrating on the angles of ballistics and other such material.
The Nazi views towards women were also presented in the educational system with a girls
education being divided into a number of different lessons each one of which encouraged a life at
home. Examples of these lessons include Hauswirtschaft. This involved domestic science, cooking,
house and garden

Analyzing The Death Of Princess Diana
When it comes to the topic of the death of Princess Diana, most people will readily agree that her
death was just an accident that was unfortunately catastrophic; however, contradicting evidence
reveals that the death of Princess Diana was a part of a larger plot. Where this argument ends,
however, is on the question of why was their barely any security at the Ritz Hotel, why was Henri
Pauls alcohol level so high, and why did the Parisian authorities take so long to provide medical
attention to Princess Diana? Many people assume that all of these questions are citizens being
paranoid; still other experts come to the conclusion that this was the plan of British intelligence to
deal with their future queen marrying a Muslim. One argument in favor of a conspiracy
surrounding Princess Diana s death is that The Ritz Hotelin Pairs should have had more security.

At the time of the accident Dr. Mailliez arrived at the scene, when he saw Diana he immediately
went over to her and gently lifted her head so she would be able breathe. Dr. Mailliez said that

ambulance arrived. As the ambulance arrived Dr. Mailliaz made sure Diana wasn t going to
choke herself and put her on oxygen. As Dr. Mailliaz left the scene although he knew Diana had
internal bleeding he was confident that she was going to be fine. French reports give a brief
summary of the process that took place in order to try to save Diana. Dr. Mailliaz stated that all of
the necessary operations were handed at the scene and unfortunately that was not enough, (

Nt1310 Unit 4 Power Supply
4Power supply:
A device which supplies electrical energy to an output load is called a power supply. Conversion
of one form of electrical power to another desired form and voltage, typically involving converting
AC line voltage to a well regulated lower voltage DC for electronic devices. Low voltage, low
power DC power supply units are commonly integrated with the devices they supply, such as
computers and household electronics.
5V DC power should be supplied to PIC microcontroller which will be achieved by converting
230V AC into 5V DC. 230V AC is too high to be reduce. Therefore, stepdown transformerwill be
needed. Step down transformer will reduce the line voltage to certain voltage that will help us to
convert 230V AC to 5V DC. In order... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It converts a varying input voltage into a constant regulated output voltage. Voltage Regulators
are available in a variety of outputs like 5V, 6V, 9V, 12V and 15V. The LM78XX series of
voltage regulators are designed for positive input. For applications requiring negative input, the
LM79XX series is used. Using a pair of voltage divider resistors can increase the output voltage of a
regulator circuit.
5Ultrasonic sensor:
Ultrasonic sensors emit short, high frequency sound pulses at regular intervals. These propagate in
the air at the velocity of sound. If they strike an object, then they are reflected back as echo signals
to the sensor, which itself computes the distance to the target based on the time span between
emitting the signal and receiving the echo.
As the distance to an object is determined by measuring the time of flight and not by the intensity of
the sound, ultrasonic sensors are excellent at suppressing background interference. Virtually all
materials which reflect sound can be detected, regardless of their color. Even transparent materials
or thin foils represent no problem for an ultrasonic

Ragnarök Research Paper
The Rath of Loki and his Children During Ragnarök In Norse Mythology, Loki is a
mischievous, trickster who has the ability to change his sex and shape. He also has three children
with a giantess named Angrboða.The event, Ragnarök also known as Doomsday, translates
from Old Norse to Doom of all Gods which is fitting in the way that it s the end of all god and men.
Lokiand Ragnarök are connected in the way that Loki s children all wreak havoc during
Ragnarök. Loki fathers the most monstrous enemies of the gods: the Midgard serpent named
Jörmungand, the wolf Fenrir and the death goddess, Hel. When the mighty god Odinfound out
about these children, he ordered that they were to be brought to him, so he could decide their fate.

The connection between Hel and Ragnarök is through Odin s son Baldur. Baldur was one of
the most beloved of all the gods. Baldur was a generous, joyful, and courageous character who
gladdened the hearts of all who spent time with him. When, therefore, he began to have ominous
dreams of some grave misfortune befalling him, the fearful gods appointed Odin to discover
their meaning. Odin mounted his eight legged steed, Sleipnir, and rode him to the underworld.
When he reached the cold and misty underworld, he found the halls arrayed in splendor, as if
some magnificent feast were about to occur. He soon found out that guest of honor for this
festivity was to be none other than Baldur. Odin returned in sorrow to Asgard, the gods celestial
stronghold, and told his fellow gods what he had been told. Frigg, wanting for any chance of
saving her treasured son, went to every thing in the cosmos and obtained oaths to not harm
Baldur. After these oaths were secured, the gods made a sport out of the situation. They threw
sticks, rocks, and anything else on hand at Baldur, and everyone laughed as these things
bounced off and left the shining god unharmed. Loki saw an opportunity to cause mischief and
took it. In disguise, he went to Frigg and asked her, Did all things swear oaths to spare Baldur
from harm? Oh, yes, the goddess replied, everything except the mistletoe. But the mistletoe is so
small and innocent a thing that I felt it superfluous to ask it for an oath. What harm could it do to
my son? Immediately after hearing this, Loki located the mistletoe, and brought it to where the
gods were playing their new favorite game. He approached the blind god Hod and said, You must
feel quite left out, having to sit back here away from the merriment, not being given a chance to
show Baldur the honor of proving his invincibility. The blind god

Jay Gatsby Past
In The Great Gatsby the main character Jay Gatsby not only contends with the past, but also is
utterly consumed by the past. The entirety of the novel portrays Gatsby s overwhelming desire to
reinvigorate a love affair from his earlier years. For Gatsby he never fully contended with the loss
of the women he desired, and as such Gatsby s constructed his life completely absorbed in the past.
After Gatsby lost Daisy he devoted his life to rekindle their love. He spent his early years
becoming the man he wished he was when Daisy was still his, he invented just the sort of Jay
Gatsby a seventeen year old would invent, and to this conception he was faithful to the end (105).

In the novel Gatsby was never going to win over Daisy s heart, but his continually effort to do so
essentially makes the reader pity his worthless and ironic pursuit to build his life to win over a
past love, when he s undeniably just too late. The readers can also observe Gatsby s complete
devotion to his dream even when confronted about it ludicrously. When Nick tells Gatsby that he
can t repeat the past he rebuts by stating, Can t repeat the past...why of course you can (118). Here
the reader can sympathize with Gatsby, as they begin to understand just how much he is consumed
by his fantasy. Additionally, when Nick reminisced at the end of the novel on Gatsby endeavor to
relive the past he stated, it eluded us then, but that s no matter to morrow we will run faster, stretch
out our arms farther (193). Here Nick classifies Gatsby s pursuit in a nonjudgmental way because it
is truly something the reader can relate to: reaching for something beyond grasp. Although the
reader pities Gatsby there is still an element of understanding for his yearning to be with Daisy once

Constitutional Changes After The American Revolution
Merriam Webster s dictionary defines a revolution as an, activity or movement designed to effect
fundamental changes in the socioeconomic situation. or, a fundamental change in the way of
thinking about or visualizing something. In this sense, the constitutional and social developments
of the United States of America between 1860 and 1877 amount to a drastic revolution. Previously
to Abraham Lincoln s election to the position of the American Presidency, slavery was an
institution deeply rooted in Southern American s way of life. Throughout Lincoln s terms and
following his assassination, America underwent many constitutional changes and dealt with a
changing social order as well. The most notable of these was the uprooting of the institution of
slavery and the effect it had on the United Statesof America. Senator John Sherman, a Republican
from Ohio, gave a speech in congress in 1863 in which he discussed new banking and currency
systems. In this speech, he highlighted some revolutionary actions taken by states. He stated that, It

Symptoms usually include skin lesions paired with pain described as a burning sensation, along
with itchiness and prickling sensations as well. One common symptom is very painful
photosensitivity. This then manifests itself as a burning and itching sensation on the epidermal
layer of the skin. At certain times, the itching sensations are completely unbearable. Rubbing the
itchy spots with ice can be the only relief, and the relief only lasts for a short period of time.
Regular anti itch remedies, including cortisone anti histamine topical preparations, and
Calamine lotion generally provide little to no relief. Even exposal to surgical lights can trigger
this itchy reaction. Prolonged exposure to the sun can lead to oedema of the hands, face
(sometimes occurring on the lips), and feet; which rarely leads to blistering and petechiae (small
red or purple spots appearing on the skin either in particular areas or widespread throughout the
surface of the body). Also, skin thickening may occur, depending on the severity of EPP in the

Intersectionality In Tony Kushner s Angels In America
Perhaps more than any other disease before or since, syphilis... provoked the kind of widespread
moral panic that AIDS revived when it struck America in the 1980 s (Allen. Searchquote). Angels

HIV/AIDS, and the focusing on furthering and improving one s self. Kushner shows the
progressing times and widespread panic and beliefs through his complex characters. Their
identities work with and through each other to grant privileges or create oppressions, this is also
known as intersectionality. However, how does intersectionality shape the opportunities and

A High-Voltage Compliant Microelectrode Array Driver for...
2.5
High voltage switching
A fundamental component of this microelectrode driver is a high voltage switch and it is
necessary to characterize the implemented switch for different stimulation current levels. An
analog CMOS switch can be an n type or p type MOSFET which is operated either in cut off (OFF
state) or ohmic region
(ON state). The switch can be characterized by a fixed linear transconductance, gds , which is
strongly signal dependent and expressed according to Eq. 8 [37] where, Ојn and Ојp are electron
and hole mobility respectively in two types of transistors, Cox is the gate oxide capacitance, W n
and W p are the dimensions of transistors, VDD is the power supply
L
L voltage, and Vin is the input signal. The bulk of NMOS and PMOS transistors are connected to
the highest potential, VDD and the lowest potential, VSS respectively. The limitations are that the
maximum voltage an NMOS and the minimum voltage a PMOS can pass are [VDD в€’ Vthn ] and
|Vthp | respectively.
This drawback can be overcome using CMOS transmission gate (TG) which exhibits lower
overall transconductance. Another advantage of using TG based switch is that it passes good 1
(or logic level high) and good 0 (logic level low) without any threshold voltage drop, or in other
words, TG gate switch allows rail to rail swings. The transconductance of TG gate switch is
expressed by the following equation: The on resistance RsON of the switch is the reciprocal of its
transconductance, gdsON and given by

The Hawksbill Sea Turtle And The Sea Turtles
The Hawksbill Sea Turtle is one of seven species of sea turtles that inhabit the ocean. Their
scientific name is Eretmochelys imbricata and they belong to the cheloniidae family. The
hawksbill sea turtles are named for their hawk like beak. They also have a carapace with an
overlapping pattern of scales that form a jagged edge along the shell. They are found mainly
throughout the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans. According to the national geographic, they
tend to avoid deep waters and prefer coastlines where they can feast on sponges and with sandy
beaches close by for nesting. According to the U.S Fish wildlife service of North Florida, the

Not only are they poached specifically for their shell, but also for their meat for consumption of
humans but also to be used as shark bait for fisherman. According to the National Wildlife
Federation, many sponges and small animals consumed, are toxic. The hawksbill body fat absorbs
the toxins without making the turtle ill, but their meat is potentially poisonous to humans (National
Wildlife Federation). The IUCN also states that Hawksbill Sea Turtles are also sought out for their
hatchling eggs.
The next cause for decreasing hawksbill population is the loss of habitat. Degradation such as
pollution being introduced to the oceans including untreated sewage, exhaust, trash, chemicals
such as pesticides and fertilizers, industrial and powerplant emissions and oil spills make their
way into the water and the natural environment for this species and all ocean species that break
down and destroy the ecosystem that they use to survive. Habitat destruction is also a factor that
is a risk to this species chance of survival is human filling in wetlands and rivers to build for
businesses and residential. Development for tourism is destructing nesting habitats for this species
as well as all sea turtle species.
Entanglement and ingestion of fish line and fishing nets is another cause for fatalities in the
Hawksbill sea turtle species. Water craft strikes also contribute to injuries and fatalities amongst this
species.

The Anger In A Room Of One s Own By Virginia Woolf
The Anger of a Feminist Anger is a complex concept that is difficult for many to explain and
manage, just as it is for Virginia Woolf in the text A Room of One s Own. Anger is defined as That
which pains or afflicts, or the passive feeling which it produces; trouble, affliction, vexation, sorrow,
yet this is far from concrete and does not contain the multiple aspects that anger brings to mind. It
does not provoke the emotionin the reader itself as Virginal Woolf does in A Room of One s Own.
She demonstrates her ragequite frequently in a multitude of ways in an effort to let her audience
understand her thoughts and reasons. In this particular text, Virginia Woolf investigates her anger at

Virginia Woolf expresses her rage through her unflattering use of physical descriptions of the
professor, bringing her emotions into the physical world, creating a villain out of the professor,
forcing her audience to take her side. When Woolf s imagined speaker is reading in the library, she
begins to sketch the imaginary professor who had writing the book she was reading, titled The
Mental, Moral, and Physical Inferiority of the Female Sex. The speaker first describes this
professor, Professor von X, as not in my picture a man attractive to women, (Woolf 31). Because
this is the first way in which she describes him, it places a great weight on physical attributes. She
says women would not find him attractive, using his physical appearance to symbolize her opinion
of his ideals. Any women in the audience will be less likely to agree with his thoughts on
inferiority since they are first judging him on his described appearance, which is not particularly
endearing. This description also implies that men who think women inferior are less attractive to
women, discouraging the behavior in any male audience members. By degrading the sexist
professor, she

Comparsion of Jack London s The Call of the Wild and John...
This is the four line epigraph present on the first page of The Call of the Wild by Jack London.
Before you try to find how this section of Atavism by John Myers O Hara, relates to the theme
of The Call of the Wild, you must understand the words used. Nomadic means moving around
and not staying in one place. O Hara uses these words in a weird order, because it seems like it
should say that your nomadic longings are leaping. The first line of this epigraph says that if you
stay in one place for a long time, your instincts (old longings from ancestors) to move from place
to place (to be nomadic) are going to flare up. Chafing means to cause annoyance. By using the
phrase Chafing at custom s chain O Hara means that you are being annoyed by traditional ways.
Custom s chain refers to these traditional ways. Therefore the feelings to want to become nomadic
are clashing with the feelings of following traditions ways. Brumal means wintry. O Hara is using
this as a metaphor with the direct meaning being waking up from winterhibernation, but the deeper
meaning is the realization or awakening of the need to break away from traditional ways. Ferine
means wild and strain in this case means type. When O Hara uses ferine as an adjective to
describe strain, he is referring to the wild side we each have due to our natural instincts. All in all

Christianity And Its Relationship With Political Authority
Christianity and its relationship with political authority has changed over the course of the period
we have studied this semester. There has been a lot of back and forth about the main religion in the
countries we have studied, and predominantly in Rome. The main religion of a country is traced
back to the religion of the political authority. Citizens looked up to their rulers, therefore convert to
the religion of the authority. Initially, Romans viewed Christianityas a new sect of Judaism. Roman
rulers did not like the religion of Christianity. By the end of the first century, the political authority
viewed the religion as a dangerous superstition that was a threat to their civic order. Romans didn t

Constantius reign and the Council of Nicea helped Rome in gaining more Christians since they
were under the rule of a Christian ruler. This did not last long as a Pagan ruler followed. In 361,
emperor Julian came into power and restored Paganism in the Roman Empire. Julian felt the need
to restore Paganism. His goal was to rid Christians from the highest orders of government. He did
not want any Christian judges so that no Christian laws would be passed. Julian targeted the
wealthy Christians as he was not as concerned with the common people. He believed that if he
could get Christians out of political power, people would convert back to Paganism. This time in
history brought Pagan conversions and Pagan members of political authority. After Julian was
killed in battle in 363, his successor came into power to restore Christianity. He passed laws that
made worshipping Pagan gods punishable by death. Christianity went from the minority religion to
the majority religion in fifty years due to converts in favor of the religion of their political leaders.
Christian law remained unchanged until 382 because Rome was in a crisis. This was extremely
influential in gaining Christian converts.
Christianity lost popularity for a little while after the fall of Rome. The Fall of Rome brought

Kill Devil Hill Challenges
Think about inventing something that no one has never imagined before. Wouldn t it be cool?
Now imagine how hard it would be. Really hard right? Well, while constructing the first aircraft,
the Wright brothers went through many problems and challenges, but they had to learn how to
overcome them. For example, they went through weather issues, religious problems and
technical difficulties. They must of had incredible inventing skills to overcome these
complicated challenges! The weather in Kill Devil Hill affected the process of inventing the

The Wright brothers waited a while for the winds to slow down, but it never did, so the brothers

problem was that the brothers wanted to try one last time to stay in the air for one whole minute.

Influential Kings in British History
There are many influential kings in British history, one being Henry VII. Founder of the Tudor
dynasty, he was a somewhat shadowy figure; cold, cautious, rigid man who paid constant attention
to the administration and the filling of the royal funds. Henry was an accomplished politician who
restored peace and stability to England. He was more of a dry, spiritless count that enjoyed the
chase and other athletic activities but also music, dancing, and cards. With the death of Prince
Edward, and the murder shortly afterwards of his father Henry VI, the fourteen year old Henry
Tudor became the leading Lancastrian claimant to the throne. This wouldn t have been so bad if
Edward IV s brother, the Duke of Gloucester, declared his sons illegitimate and took the throne
for himself as Richard III. The disappearance and presumed murder of the young princes turned
many of Richard s subjects against him and rallied around exiled Henry Tudor. Henry was now
the leading claimant to the throne as Richard was now an illegal leader. Henry reinforced his
promised marriage to Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV. This brought Houses of
Lancaster and York, which brought dissident Yorkists to Henry s side. ( Crofton, 2006) After the
death of the last two Yorkists claimants, Henry s position on the throne was much more secured.
He had isolated Warbeck from foreign allies by securing peace with France, the emperor, and
Scotland. He married his daughter Margaret to the Scotland king, James VI.

What Is The Cautionary Tale Of The Three Brothers
As for many years, J.K. Rowling takes the world by storm with her Harry Potter series from the
year 1998 2017. As a reader, you have known if you have read the Harry Potter series, in the
second to last novel of the series Deathly Hallows Part 1 . It displays a brief and cautionary tale
known as The Tale of Three Brothers . As there are many fans that retell this famous short story
that can be found on YouTube, however, I had chosen this film adaptation The Tale of the Three
Brothers OFFICIAL ADAPTATION Newscom HD published by Felicity Giles and link it to the
Harry Potterseries. This tale had played a major role in the Harry Potter series including Deathly
Hallows Part 1 where this tale was first mentioned. Since it had a connection to the famous
artifacts known as the Deathly Hallows , which has a symbol of a triangle that has a circle and a
vertical line within the shape, which will be explained further. The tale was known as a brief
cautionary tale for children in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. However, this tale conveys

who cheated Death by building a bridge with magic. As a result, Death congratulated the three

Fight Club Masculinity
Both the sailor who fell from grace with the sea, and fight club touch on the idea, and importance
of masculinity. However, in think that they have very different views on the topic, and seem to

completely different cultures, and so the techniques used to show the significance of masculinity
vary a lot. A sailor who fell from grace with the sea was written in japan, which at the time, and
still today, had a very unique set of values and opinions. On the other hand, fight club was written
in America, the cultural opposite in some respects, to Japan. the main theme within fight club, is
masculinity, and how society responds to it. The first passage from the book I have chosen to look

If I were to choose a figure in the government who I admire the most, that person would be
Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina. Ever since I began to take an interest in politics, I always
leaned towards the conservative side of the spectrum but everyone else around me identified as
a liberal. As an African American male, it is hard to come out as a black republican, especially
when you attend a Historically Black College. For the last couple of decades, the black
community has tended to vote Democrat and when they see one of their own come out as a

U.s. Immigration Policy Policies Essay
U.S. immigration policy has always been an important topic debated by Presidential candidates for
decades. Immigration reform has been ignored by Congress, leaving decisions up to the President
and Supreme Court. In the meantime, the hopes of about eleven million illegal immigrants in the
U.S., as well as future rules for legal immigration, rest on the shoulders of those decision makers.
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both agree that changes to U.S. immigration policy are needed;
however, Donald Trump is taking a radical approach suggesting mass deportation and completely
revamping U.S. immigration policy, whereas, Hillary Clinton is overlooking some issues and wants
to continue to support the policy set forth by the Obama Administration. Regardless of who
becomes President, they will have a hard time getting these issues passed through Congress.
Deportation
Donald Trump s signature topic during his presidential campaign has been illegal immigration. He
has generated headlines and controversial remarks during his plans for change. In 2015, when he
announced he was running for president, Donald Trump claimed Mexico was sending all their
rapist and violent criminals into the U.S. (Gabbatt, 2015). He also called for the deportation of an
estimated eleven million illegal immigrants. Donald Trump has built his campaign on his
willingness to deport a projected eleven million illegal immigrants; however, most recently his
stance has changed. In a recent interview, Fox News

Domestic Terrorism In America
Terrorism has had a profound affect on the world, as it has inspired fear and despair in the hearts
of millions of people. Specifically in the United States, where in certain circumstances U.S. citizens

Drug Abuse Among American Teenagers
Drug abuse in America is a major problem. Especially among teenagers. Drugs have hurt the lives
of nearly 40 percent of all teenagers in America. Either with health problems, DWIs, highway
crashes, arrests, impaired school and job performance. These drugs that teenagers use range from
Alcohol, LSD, Marijuana, and even Cigarettes. Most of the teenagers that are involved in drug
abuse have either, broken families, parents that are drug abusers, a unstable environment where
they are constantly moving from place to place, or there parents aren t exactly making a lot of

If your inner containment is low, meaning that you don t have people that have put ideas into
your head about what s right and wrong, then your chance of being a drug abuser increases.
Outer containment is like the law, teachers, friends, and family. If you have a lot of people
around you that are constantly telling you drugs are bad, you will be less likely to get involved
with the drugs because you don t wanna let these people down. But if you don t have very many
people around you like teachers say if you dropped out or something. Then you don t have anyone
telling you not to do drugs, which means you will probably do them. But if you have a strong
social bond (i.e. attachment to parents, school, church, etc.) you will be less likely to become
deviant because you don t want to let them down.
If a person has a low inner and outer containment, they probably don t feel to great about
themselves either, and feel as if they are lost in society. They look for someone to lead them, or
look for a way out. When a person doesn t know what to do, they are more prone to get involved
with deviance. This theory is known as Anomie.
Differential Association ties in with the containment theory also. It means that people will learn to
be deviant (i.e. drug abuse) by the examples sent to them by important people in our lives. These
important people could be parents, and family. When you grow up you always look to your parents

Jackie Robinson and the Struggle for Equality in Baseball
Baseball has always been known as America s pastime. But America s pastime, along with America
s past, have both been saturated with the brutal force of racism. For hundreds of years, from the
time of slavery until the middle of the 20th century, African American children rounded up their
friends and headed to the baseball diamond. There, for thousands of young black players, the smell
of the grass, the cloud of dust that formed when running the ninety feet between bases, and the
feeling of safely sliding into homeplate for a run marked the glimmer of fun and excitement in an
otherwise dreary day. However, due to the color of their skin, black children were not awarded these

Jackie Robinson and the African American race marked the beginning of the struggle for the

Mindfulness As A Treatment For Depression
Psychology is one of the youngest lines of science and there is still a lot to be learnt about it.
Before the use of anti depressants, one of the first treatments used by psychologists was
psychoanalysis which was founded by Sigmund Freud in 1852. Then later treatments such as
electroconvulsive therapy formally known as electro shock therapy were used. Currently the most
common treatment for depression is medication such as antidepressants as they are proven to be
extremely effective in treating the symptoms of this mental illness. However even though there
are so many treatments for mental illnesses such as depression the biggest issue we face with
depression is its habit of being a reoccurring problem. The purpose of this essay is to discuss
mindfulness as a treatment for depression. In the essay not only its effectiveness towards the
treatment and prevention of depression but also how it treats and prevents depression is discussed.
This was until psychologists found a more effective way to not only treat but prevent the symptoms
of depression using mindfulness as a therapy. Although, mindfulness is not a very well known
treatment it has been found to be very effective of turning the lives around of sufferers of mental
illness.

of some mental health disorders; one being depression. Depression affects 121 million people

City Upon A Hill Essay
For the Puritans in the early New England colonies life was by no means easy, but there was the
possibility to expand their beliefs free from the persecution from Church of England. They had the
opportunity to create their ideal society under God with the bible as their law from which they
would define how to live. The Puritans set out to create their model society which could spread
and cull the impurities from the church. But how did these beliefs and goals ultimately effect their
society? In the book Give Me Liberty: An American History by Eric Foner he notes that:

In their society the Puritans based their lives, beliefs, and communities on what they deemed as
God s law and true word, the bible (Barger). Reading the bible was expected for the members of
society, this included women and children, which was often unheard of (Foner 66) at that time.
With their lives being restricted to the word of the bible this left very little leeway for anything
other than what was deemed acceptable, and this rigid way of life was another straw that led to
the eventual troubles and fervor that took over. The Puritans ultimate goal was for their ideal
society, their City Upon A Hill, a model Christian society. According to Dr. Terry Matthew in
Puritanism in America They did not come to this country to find a place to practice freedom of
worship. Instead, they came to find a place where their true religion could flourish. They wanted to
influence more than just their communities and those surrounding, they wanted to influence the
Church of England and further in the hopes of purifying those that had strayed from what they
deemed as the true and righteous path all by showing the way by their hard fast examples. These
goals that the Puritans strived to achieve both at home and abroad placed a great amount of stress
on the people and community. They were always working for their model society and for them

The Pros And Cons Of Poverty In Nigeria
The perception of Africa is often limited to poverty, disease, starvation and inequality. In 1999,
extreme poverty affected 58% of the African population. That number has now fallen to 35%. With
over 500 companies generating a turnover involving billions of dollars each year, Africa is not
emerging it s already here.
Surprising to most, Africa is the world leader in online banking and mobile money transactions. The
continent faces many challenges and difficulties, but Africa is evolving and already boasts
numerous economies.
It s no longer a continent of conflict. Many foreigners forget that most countries in Africa are
democratically run.
Africa s growth can be tracked in multiple areas, such as the improvement in democracy in
government, population growth, demographics, education, and an uptake in IT and mobile phone
usage.
Nigeria
One in every five Africans is Nigerian; that is an indicator of how large and populated Nigeria is.

How Did Civilization Differ From Ancient Civilization
Throughout the centuries humans have greatly evolved. Originally nomadic tribes, people learned
to settle down and form civilizations due to the Neolithic Revolution. During this time humans
learned how to farm. This major discovery allowed us to create cities where we could rely on our
own supplies and labor for food rather than moving around to follow and hunt animals for food. For
this plan to work the people had to settle around the most ideal conditions for farming. Thus, most
of the successful ancient civilizations were formed around rivers. Ancient Egyptand Ancient India
were two of the greatest ancient civilizations and they relied on the rivers they were built around
for a surplus of food, trade, and cultural diffusion. The NileRiver was the river ancient Egyptians

Christianity And Christianity Of Christianity
Being some of the biggest religions in the world today, Christianity and Catholicism are considered
to be symbols of stability, comfort, and security because of its strong faith. This, however, has not
always been true. Over the course of hundreds of thousands of years, Christianity and Catholicism
have gone through tremendous changes through different major events in history. Ranging from the
Council of Nicaea the early church community prior to 1054 to the Spanish Colonization of the
New World prior to 1900 to the Second Vatican Council after 1900 all of these events created
waves of change in these religions and helped form them into what they are today. At the dawn of
Christianity, many differing beliefs existed. Small factions, without leadership, practiced their own
interpretations of their faith. Due to its nature as a persecuted religion, it was difficult for the early
church to establish a semblance of leadership. After Constantine s legalization and implementation
of Christianity in 313 A.D., it became clear that Catholics needed to consolidate their beliefs. This
wasn t accomplished until 325 A.D. when the Council of Nicaea was convened. There were many
motivations for holding the council, including: the deliberation on the nature of God and Jesus
Christ and what it meant to be Christian among others. The Council of Nicaea was a very important
meeting where 300 bishops from across the Roman Empiremet to discuss different administrative

Compare and contrast how the main protagonists experience being outsiders within their

Othello , Emily Bronte in Wuthering Heights and Robert Browning in his Dramatic Monologues.
Shakespeare explores the theme of alienation through a character considered an outsider by the
society in which he lives in. Similarly Emily Bronte explores Heathcliff and the obstacles he faces

The narrator in The Last Ride Together is also rejected by his mistress but in contrast his
acceptance of this makes him dissimilar to the Duke and Heathcliff. In this poem Browning
portrays human success and the limitations people face. Although the lover s life has been meant
for fails , he has accepted his fate with his mistress and so accepts his failure of not being able to
get her as part of his success. Othello on the other hand has major success in wooing Desdemona
which could suggest that the rejection and success these characters receive could reflect the
extent to which they are seen as outsiders. Porphyria s lover is depicted as an outsider like the
Duke but the narrator in this poem is far more psychotic. Browning s use of language indicates
that Porphyria is from a higher class than her lover gay feast , dripping cloak and shawl , soiled
gloves paints an image of a wealthy and independent woman. There is a clear issue of class and
wealth in both of these Browning poems and it seems to be the root of the problems faced by the
lovers. In Wuthering Heights money and power is also a major issue which causes the unfortunate
events endured by the protagonist. When Heathcliff returns to the Heights as a gentleman in dress

Streptomyces Essay
Streptomyces is a genus of Gram positive bacteria in the actinomycetes group. Streptomyces
species are common inhabitants of soil, though they are found in a variety of habitats. They have
a mycelial and reproduce by the formation of spores at the extremities of aerial hyphae. They
respire aerobically and can use a wide range of organic compounds as carbon and energy sources.
Streptomyces often produce extracellular enzymes that allow them to utilize various materials such
as starch, cellulose and chitin. They produce over half of all known antibiotics, and certain species
are commercially important. An example of an antibiotic produced by Streptomyces griseus is

that are unrelated to a stress response. DNA replication; RNA synthesis; cell wall synthesis and
protein synthesis have been identified as possible targets for cellular disruption which is
undoubtedly a complex process. Streptomyces is a well known genus of the Actinomycetes family
of bacteria with a unique morphology and metabolism, which lends to its ability to produce more
than half of the antibiotics that are used in agriculture and

Google, Apple and Semco Essay
Three articles, three companies and three very different managing styles. The articles look at
how three very important people keep a handle on their employees. Steve Jobs co founder of
Apple and his non text book approach to an autocratic managing style, CEO of Google Eric Schmit
and his laissez faire catastrophe and Ricardo Semler CEO of SEMCOand his participative ways that
surprisingly seem to be working. All run in different markets and have created their own rules to
follow. They are the companies paving the way and demonstrating how to be successful in
traditional ways but with their own twist. Sometimes they may not seem like the most efficient
ways to get your workers to be productive, but in these astounding cases they seem to be... Show

Each company has its own way of nabbing the spotlight from competitors. Apple is intensely
secretive about its products, so secretive that not even the workers know what they are working on.
This gives Apple a leg up on competitors, when they came up with the iPhone design nobody knew
what they were up to, and then it took other companies trying to steal apples spot light longer to
come up with a product similar. Apple is not like every other company in the same market, like
Microsoft, instead they stepped out of the norm. Everything is created in house and while some
products work with others like iPods and PC, they will work best with apple products. This
creates customer loyalties: if someone buys a Mac is most likely going to buy an iPhone or an
iPod. It is unlike any other computer company. Microsoft for example has to get other companies
to create hardware or software to be compatible with its products. Apple operates within its self,
making it the firm to beat. Google is still going strong, but growth has been decreasing instead of
increasing. With the amount of employees they turn over, they have to hire back. There has to be a
high amount of training with the numbers of workers they loose on a monthly or even weekly
basis. Google still has something going for them, and that is the amount of programs they run. ,
just to name a few: Gmail, Google apps, Google maps,

Archetypes In Cinderella Stories
Many people wonder where all the Cinderella stories originated from? They originated from the
most popular version written in French by Charles Perrault written in 1607. The Little Golden
book, the Grimm brothers version and the 2015 Disney Film version of Cinderella are all taken
from the original story. All Cinderellastories have the same storyline, but there are differences and
similarities between the archetypes and the characters and in the theme in the three versions.
There are lots of archetypes seen throughout all three versions. An archetype that is shown is
circles, which means wholeness and unity. An example of circles from The Little Golden Book
is A pumpkin rose up and swelled into an elegant coach (6). This shows that Cinderella s life is
becoming complete because the coach takes her the ball, which is where she meets the price she
marries. Another example of circles is the sunrise in the morning this is shown in the Grimms
version There she had to do hard work from morning until evening .... ( paragraph 6). This shows
wholeness in the morning when the sunrises being the sun is becoming whole and its a circle.
Likewise in the Little Golden Book, the Fairy Godmother turned the pumpkin into an elegant
coach that she road to the ball as projected in the 2015 Disney movie. This shows that her life is
coming complete because she has found her destiny which is the price she meets at the ball.
The theme is all three versions are similar but also have their own

Reproducibility Of Man Essay
Reproducibility of Man
When Walter Benjamin wrote The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction in 1969,
I am sure he didn t expect it to parallel the arguments of today s discussions on the ethics of
cloning. In the short shadow of the replication of Dolly the sheep, and five little piglets from
Virginia comes the discussion on if this practice should really be allowed, and if so, what limits do
you set? How can you look in the eyes of people who have had there family members pass away
because the cloning of pigs for their organs have been outlawed. But what do you say when it
comes to the question of just raising humans, lets say in a human farm , for exact organ and tissue
matches. Where do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the right amount of money, this could actually happen. Others worry that interests would be
sure to make clones of great athletes and other idols of pop culture, rock singers, movie stars,
and the like, and, even worse, that temporary, parochial standards of beauty and human
excellence might be frozen into flesh (Ferre 2). Inevitably, racist preferences would surface and
those with the power of this technology would use it to distort human genetic history, reflecting
their conscious and unconscious prejudices. This leads to human population evolving into a
society where everything is alike, somewhat of a cloning holocaust. During long periods of
history, the mode of human sense perception changes with humanity s entire mode of existence
(Benjamin 31). If someone decides they no longer desire that type of person they have selected,
how do you go about finding a new candidate to clone if you have already eliminated every other
type of person? Walter Benjamin wrote about original artwork in this way. His essay, The Work
of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction spoke of original artwork in this area. The original
was just not as impressive anymore if you could make a dozen to a thousand copies of it.
Even the most perfect reproduction of a work is
lacking in one element: it s presence in time and

How Did Darwin Contribute To Evolution
Long before Charles Darwin, other people made important contributions to the historical
development of the theory of evolution. It all started in 5th century BC when early Greek
philosophers characterized the origin of the natural world as by the power of nature rather than by
supernatural force. They proposed the theory of evolutionto explain the basis of the natural world.
Thus, evolutionary theory began with the Ionian philosopher Anaximander (611 546 BC) who
proposed living beings gradually developed from water and that humans originated from animals.
He proposed the world had arisen from an undifferentiated, indeterminate substance. In the 6th
century BC, Xenophanes (570475 BC) developed Anaximander s theories by using fossils as...

Its philosophy was dedicated to unveiling God s plan by studying his creation. Species were
individually created and designed by God for a purpose. This popular doctrine of a fixed,
permanent and unchanging species overruled suggested ideas of evolution. Natural theologian
Carolus Linnaeus (1701 1778) was the Father of Taxonomy and he developed the two part system
(genus and species) of naming organisms and grouping species into a hierarchy. He firmly
believed that species were permanent and dedicated his life to classifying organisms to reveal the
plan of God s creation.
Through greater knowledge of the natural world, discoveries in the geological sciences greatly
contributed to making Darwin s theory of evolution possible. French geologist Buffon (1707 1778)
came to recognize that sedimentary rocks were laid down at different times suggesting the age of
the earth. French zoologist and paleontologist Georges Cuvier (1769 1832) documented the
succession of fossil species, noting the progressiveness of the fossil record however, he was
opposed to evolution and argued that boundaries between organisms from different strata were
cause by past catastrophic events (catastrophism). Uniformitarian, Charles Lyell (1797 1875)
suggested that various geological formations on Earth resulted from the cumulative effects of slow
but continuous processes over long expanses of time confirming that slow gradual changes over
expansive amounts of time can yield substantial

A Sea Change in Staffing at Leapfrog Innovations, Inc.
In the Part IV Case Study (Hitt, Miller, amp; Colella, 2011, p. 567), the entire situation has evolved
into a redline situation due to many challenges have not been appropriately dealt with. They were
either not foreseen, or when noticed, where just coped with and no intelligent management controls
were implemented.
The majority of the issues can be attributed to how Dick Eaton has allowed himself to be
uninvolved in the critical operations for 10 years as LFI has grown and evolved throughout the
years. Several employees have been hired and quit or moved on, and with the growth and evolution

It is extremely important that Dick take Court Chilton s advice If you re going to make this
thing work, you re going to have to lean in (Hitt et al., 2011, p. 568). Speed of change for
himself can be categorized as Urgency (Hitt et al., 2011, p. 543) where the change is urgent and a
faster paced implementation in his dynamics is required or the company will go upside down with
the vacuum in leadership, knowledge and experience. These contributions are extremely valuable
and are not easily replaceable.
I would highly advise that Dick negotiate an short term extension of Julia s employment (she stated
she would contribute to the company on a contract basis only) and create a contract for her that
will have a specific length of time (90 days to 6 months) wherein their roles would be reversed, and
she can grandfather him so that he can be comfortable to branch out into fulfilling her duties,
without fear of making mistakes that would deflate the company. Part of this agreement, would be
to utilize Julia s stronger leadership traits, to provide continuity to the company during this high
turnover. Given Dick s 6 month agreement, he will take his role on more seriously in the company
and be able to flex in and out of his current position to strengthen Julia s replacement or run the
company in her stead entirely.
Strong recruiting will have to begin

Short Story The Fly
In the short story The Fly, readers are introduced to the world of grief and coping through a
snapshot into the life of a grieving father. It raises the question as to whether it is better to forget
and let go or hold on to the precious memories we have with loved ones no matter the hurt.
Traditionally strong emotions and griefare associated with female characters. However the boss
gives readers an opportunity to delve into the masculine emotions that are often times hidden. This
journey through emotionand longing also demonstrates how as humans we sometimes find joy in
our pain. To let go of grief and pain means to let go of pieces of ourselves. The selfishness that
encompasses this realization is present throughout.
Several instances within the narration give way to the fact that the boss uses the loss of his son
to gratify his own masochistic tendencies. The first glimpse into this is given as a portrait of his
son is explained to the readers. Instead of utilizing a photograph or picture that represents a time
of joy or fond memories, the boss chose to hang a portrait he dislikes. Since his son died while
serving his country, the portrait of him in his uniform only incites further grief as it offers a
reminder of how his son passed. Most would choose to honor their loved one in happier times.
The second instance is the boss s reflection on times past where he was able to freely wallow in
his grief. Despite the time of six years between the present and the

Assess The Role Of The Arab League During The Yemen Civil War
The main IGO that took part in the Yemen conflict was the Arab League. During the Yemen civil
war that took place between 1962 and 1970, the Arab League was made up of six member states
that included Yemen, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Jordan. However, the Arab League was
later expanded to include twenty two member states. The role played by the Arab Leagueduring the
Civil war in Yemen, is evident from the roles in which the individual members of this union played
in order to further its interests. Egypt was known as the United Arab Republic during this conflict
and it had good relations with Yemen. In 1958, Yemen joined Egypt and Syria and the resulting
union was known as the United Arab State. However, this union did not last for... Show more

The new republican government was recognized by the Soviet Union and Egypt, but other
western powers that had interests in Yemen such as the US and the UK, failed to disclose whether
they supported the new Syrian government (Terrill and Army War College (U.S.) Strategic Studies
Institute 54). The Arab league played a contradictory role during the civil war in Syria, with some
members of the union supporting the republican forces while others went behind the royal forces
led by Imam Mohammed Al Bdr. Egypt supported the republican forces while Imam Badr received
support from Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The republican forces embraced social progress and
republicanism, and were mainly present in cities, while Mohammed Al Bdr forces fought from
rural areas. The conflict in Yemen was partially caused by the action of Egypt to send soldiers to
support the overthrowing of the royal government. Saudi Arabia s involvement in the conflict was
based on the fear that the war could overspill into its borders, and therefore, it protected its
interests by lending material support to Imam Mohammed Al Bdr (Little 68). The republican
forces viewed the provision of material support to royal forces by Saudi Arabia as interference in
the internal affairs of Yemen. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia viewed the involvement of Egyptian
troops in the conflict as a threat to its oilfields and its monarchy (Terrill and Army War College

  • 2. Implementation of a Management Production Schedule for... Realco Breadmaster Company It is very important for a business to have a master production schedule because it enables companies to determine whether or not it is meeting the demands of production. Businesses without a master production schedule are at a huge disadvantage compared to businesses that do have a MPS. For example, a business can have many products in stock but can miss out on its profits due to the holding cost. Not having a MPS can cause businesses to lack in supply which can result into customers receiving their products very late. A company known as the Realco Breadmaster Company has experienced what it is like to be in business without a MPS. Johnny Chang, the owner of the Realco Breadmaster Company, would like to adopt a MPS for Realco so that the company can get back on its feet. Here s a sketch of the MPS. • 3. Marriage And The Role Of Women Kate Eickhoff Dr. White IB 11 English 28 November 2016 Marriage Essay During the 14th century, marriage and the role of women in the marriage were very different from today. Most marriages in the 14th century occurred between an older man and a young girl; a girl is usually chosen because they were pure and could produce the most heirs. The bride s family would pay the husband through a dowry, consisting of land, money, or anything of high value. The more unattractive the women were, the more the family would have to pay the husband. Right here, women are already being objectified by their looks. Men want a girl who looks pure and untouched, why would anyone want a dirtied girl. Being someone who was not good looking was an even bigger disgrace since your appearance does not please your husband, you are not doing your job of keeping him happy. Women are often portrayed as an object of men to be bought and fondled with; they are not allowed to control their lives. Geoffrey Chaucer took part in telling the story of how many women acted in the 14th century and how the women were portrayed at this time. Chaucer s views on marriage are made very clear throughout The Canterbury Tales. He used the five marriage tales: The Shipman s Tale, The Wife s Prologue , The Clark s Tale , The Merchant s Tale , and The Franklin s Tale to express his views on marriage, I was struck most strongly by how much he knew about love, about men and women, by the depth and complexity of an ... In the play A Streetcar Named Desire, author Tennessee Williams uses his three main characters Stanley, Stella and Blanche to illustrate the theme of sexual hedonism in a world where each struggles for survival and desires to belong. Stanley Kowalski and his wife Stella live in a two room apartment on Stanley s blue collar salary. They are visited by Stella s sister Blanche Dubois who has just lost the family plantation, Belle Reve. The three exist in the jungle society of New Orleans where each is a victim of animal desires, social pressures and use sex to try and gain control of the world around them. Stanley is the protagonist who is trying to exist in the wild and as an untamed animal uses sex as power and control. In the opening scene we see him toss meat wrapped in butcher paper to Stella, almost like the lion who goes out to hunt and returns to the den with his kill, Stanley carries his bowling jacket and a red stained package from a butcher...He heaves the package at her (13, 14). Later in the play, during a poker game, Blanche continues to turn on the radio, even after Stanley has demanded she leave it off. Stanley reacts, Stanley stalks fiercely through the portieres into the bedroom... with a shouted oath, he tosses the instrument out the window (57). This is followed by the beating of Stella by Stanley. Every instance of conflict for Stanley is resolved with aggressive behavior, emphasizing his animal like tendencies, and how he uses violence to maintain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Aims and the Results of the Attempts by the Nazi Regime to Transform German Society When the Nazis came to power in 1933 they began to introduce a set of ideas into the German society. These ideas were based on the Nazi ideology, which had been outlined by Hitler in his book Mein Kampf or My Struggle a few years earlier. This essay will examine the Nazis attempts to integrate their ideological beliefs about youth and about women into the German society. The essay will also assess the success of this integration. This was a key aim because the Nazis saw the youth as the future of Germany and they wanted to have an influence over this generation. It wasn t only through youth groups that the youth were indoctrinated to the Nazi regime. The education system was also completely geared to spreading the Nazi party propaganda. For example the curriculum was designed around the Nazi ideology. Geography taught the boys map skills and other skills that would be critical during a war. History taught the Nazi version of History, which was a contrived version of events, which blamed the Jews for all of Germany s problems in the past. Analyzing The Death Of Princess Diana When it comes to the topic of the death of Princess Diana, most people will readily agree that her death was just an accident that was unfortunately catastrophic; however, contradicting evidence reveals that the death of Princess Diana was a part of a larger plot. Where this argument ends, however, is on the question of why was their barely any security at the Ritz Hotel, why was Henri Pauls alcohol level so high, and why did the Parisian authorities take so long to provide medical attention to Princess Diana? Many people assume that all of these questions are citizens being paranoid; still other experts come to the conclusion that this was the plan of British intelligence to deal with their future queen marrying a Muslim. Odin mounted his eight legged steed, Sleipnir, and rode him to the underworld. When he reached the cold and misty underworld, he found the halls arrayed in splendor, as if some magnificent feast were about to occur. He soon found out that guest of honor for this festivity was to be none other than Baldur. After these oaths were secured, the gods made a sport out of the situation. They threw sticks, rocks, and anything else on hand at Baldur, and everyone laughed as these things bounced off and left the shining god unharmed. Loki saw an opportunity to cause mischief and took it. In disguise, he went to Frigg and asked her, Did all things swear oaths to spare Baldur from harm? • 14. A High-Voltage Compliant Microelectrode Array Driver for... 2.5 High voltage switching A fundamental component of this microelectrode driver is a high voltage switch and it is necessary to characterize the implemented switch for different stimulation current levels. An analog CMOS switch can be an n type or p type MOSFET which is operated either in cut off (OFF state) or ohmic region (ON state). The switch can be characterized by a fixed linear transconductance, gds , which is strongly signal dependent and expressed according to Eq. 8 [37] where, Ојn and Ојp are electron and hole mobility respectively in two types of transistors, Cox is the gate oxide capacitance, W n and W p are the dimensions of transistors, VDD is the power supply L L voltage, and Vin is the input signal. The bulk of NMOS and PMOS transistors are connected to the highest potential, VDD and the lowest potential, VSS respectively. The limitations are that the maximum voltage an NMOS and the minimum voltage a PMOS can pass are [VDD в€’ Vthn ] and |Vthp | respectively. This drawback can be overcome using CMOS transmission gate (TG) which exhibits lower overall transconductance. Another advantage of using TG based switch is that it passes good 1 (or logic level high) and good 0 (logic level low) without any threshold voltage drop, or in other words, TG gate switch allows rail to rail swings. The transconductance of TG gate switch is expressed by the following equation: The on resistance RsON of the switch is the reciprocal of its transconductance, gdsON and given by ... Before you try to find how this section of Atavism by John Myers O Hara, relates to the theme of The Call of the Wild, you must understand the words used. Nomadic means moving around and not staying in one place. O Hara uses these words in a weird order, because it seems like it should say that your nomadic longings are leaping. The first line of this epigraph says that if you stay in one place for a long time, your instincts (old longings from ancestors) to move from place to place (to be nomadic) are going to flare up. Chafing means to cause annoyance. By using the phrase Chafing at custom s chain O Hara means that you are being annoyed by traditional ways. Custom s chain refers to these traditional ways. Therefore the feelings to want to become nomadic are clashing with the feelings of following traditions ways. Brumal means wintry. O Hara is using this as a metaphor with the direct meaning being waking up from winterhibernation, but the deeper meaning is the realization or awakening of the need to break away from traditional ways. Ferine means wild and strain in this case means type. When O Hara uses ferine as an adjective to describe strain, he is referring to the wild side we each have due to our natural instincts. This wouldn t have been so bad if Edward IV s brother, the Duke of Gloucester, declared his sons illegitimate and took the throne for himself as Richard III. The disappearance and presumed murder of the young princes turned many of Richard s subjects against him and rallied around exiled Henry Tudor. Henry was now the leading claimant to the throne as Richard was now an illegal leader. Henry reinforced his promised marriage to Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV. This brought Houses of Lancaster and York, which brought dissident Yorkists to Henry s side. ( Crofton, 2006) After the death of the last two Yorkists claimants, Henry s position on the throne was much more secured. He had isolated Warbeck from foreign allies by securing peace with France, the emperor, and Scotland. He married his daughter Margaret to the Scotland king, James VI. ... Immigration reform has been ignored by Congress, leaving decisions up to the President and Supreme Court. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both agree that changes to U.S. immigration policy are needed; however, Donald Trump is taking a radical approach suggesting mass deportation and completely revamping U.S. immigration policy, whereas, Hillary Clinton is overlooking some issues and wants to continue to support the policy set forth by the Obama Administration. Ranging from the Council of Nicaea the early church community prior to 1054 to the Spanish Colonization of the New World prior to 1900 to the Second Vatican Council after 1900 all of these events created waves of change in these religions and helped form them into what they are today. Due to its nature as a persecuted religion, it was difficult for the early church to establish a semblance of leadership. After Constantine s legalization and implementation of Christianity in 313 A.D., it became clear that Catholics needed to consolidate their beliefs. All Cinderellastories have the same storyline, but there are differences and similarities between the archetypes and the characters and in the theme in the three versions. There are lots of archetypes seen throughout all three versions. An archetype that is shown is circles, which means wholeness and unity. An example of circles from The Little Golden Book is A pumpkin rose up and swelled into an elegant coach (6). This shows that Cinderella s life is becoming complete because the coach takes her the ball, which is where she meets the price she marries. Another example of circles is the sunrise in the morning this is shown in the Grimms version There she had to do hard work from morning until evening .... ( paragraph 6). • 43. Reproducibility Of Man Essay Reproducibility of Man When Walter Benjamin wrote The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction in 1969, I am sure he didn t expect it to parallel the arguments of today s discussions on the ethics of cloning. In the short shadow of the replication of Dolly the sheep, and five little piglets from Virginia comes the discussion on if this practice should really be allowed, and if so, what limits do you set? How can you look in the eyes of people who have had there family members pass away because the cloning of pigs for their organs have been outlawed. But what do you say when it comes to the question of just raising humans, lets say in a human farm , for exact organ and tissue matches. Where do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the right amount of money, this could actually happen. Others worry that interests would be sure to make clones of great athletes and other idols of pop culture, rock singers, movie stars, and the like, and, even worse, that temporary, parochial standards of beauty and human excellence might be frozen into flesh (Ferre 2). Inevitably, racist preferences would surface and those with the power of this technology would use it to distort human genetic history, reflecting their conscious and unconscious prejudices. This leads to human population evolving into a society where everything is alike, somewhat of a cloning holocaust. During long periods of history, the mode of human sense perception changes with humanity s entire mode of existence (Benjamin 31). If someone decides they no longer desire that type of person they have selected, how do you go about finding a new candidate to clone if you have already eliminated every other type of person? Walter Benjamin wrote about original artwork in this way. His essay, The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction spoke of original artwork in this area. The original was just not as impressive anymore if you could make a dozen to a thousand copies of it. Even the most perfect reproduction of a work is lacking in one element: it s presence in time and space, its unique ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. How Did Darwin Contribute To Evolution Long before Charles Darwin, other people made important contributions to the historical development of the theory of evolution. It all started in 5th century BC when early Greek philosophers characterized the origin of the natural world as by the power of nature rather than by supernatural force. They proposed the theory of evolutionto explain the basis of the natural world. Thus, evolutionary theory began with the Ionian philosopher Anaximander (611 546 BC) who proposed living beings gradually developed from water and that humans originated from animals. He proposed the world had arisen from an undifferentiated, indeterminate substance. In the 6th century BC, Xenophanes (570475 BC) developed Anaximander s theories by using fossils as... This popular doctrine of a fixed, permanent and unchanging species overruled suggested ideas of evolution. Natural theologian Carolus Linnaeus (1701 1778) was the Father of Taxonomy and he developed the two part system (genus and species) of naming organisms and grouping species into a hierarchy. He firmly believed that species were permanent and dedicated his life to classifying organisms to reveal the plan of God s creation. Through greater knowledge of the natural world, discoveries in the geological sciences greatly contributed to making Darwin s theory of evolution possible. French geologist Buffon (1707 1778) came to recognize that sedimentary rocks were laid down at different times suggesting the age of the earth. French zoologist and paleontologist Georges Cuvier (1769 1832) documented the succession of fossil species, noting the progressiveness of the fossil record however, he was opposed to evolution and argued that boundaries between organisms from different strata were cause by past catastrophic events (catastrophism). Uniformitarian, Charles Lyell (1797 1875) suggested that various geological formations on Earth resulted from the cumulative effects of slow but continuous processes over long expanses of time confirming that slow gradual changes over expansive amounts of time can yield substantial ... In the Part IV Case Study (Hitt, Miller, amp; Colella, 2011, p. 567), the entire situation has evolved into a redline situation due to many challenges have not been appropriately dealt with. They were either not foreseen, or when noticed, where just coped with and no intelligent management controls were implemented. The majority of the issues can be attributed to how Dick Eaton has allowed himself to be uninvolved in the critical operations for 10 years as LFI has grown and evolved throughout the years. It is extremely important that Dick take Court Chilton s advice If you re going to make this thing work, you re going to have to lean in (Hitt et al., 2011, p. 568). Speed of change for himself can be categorized as Urgency (Hitt et al., 2011, p. 543) where the change is urgent and a faster paced implementation in his dynamics is required or the company will go upside down with the vacuum in leadership, knowledge and experience. These contributions are extremely valuable and are not easily replaceable. I would highly advise that Dick negotiate an short term extension of Julia s employment (she stated she would contribute to the company on a contract basis only) and create a contract for her that will have a specific length of time (90 days to 6 months) wherein their roles would be reversed, and she can grandfather him so that he can be comfortable to branch out into fulfilling her duties, without fear of making mistakes that would deflate the company. Part of this agreement, would be to utilize Julia s stronger leadership traits, to provide continuity to the company during this high turnover. Given Dick s 6 month agreement, he will take his role on more seriously in the company and be able to flex in and out of his current position to strengthen Julia s replacement or run the company in her stead entirely. Strong recruiting will have to begin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Short Story The Fly In the short story The Fly, readers are introduced to the world of grief and coping through a snapshot into the life of a grieving father. It raises the question as to whether it is better to forget and let go or hold on to the precious memories we have with loved ones no matter the hurt. Traditionally strong emotions and griefare associated with female characters. However the boss gives readers an opportunity to delve into the masculine emotions that are often times hidden. This journey through emotionand longing also demonstrates how as humans we sometimes find joy in our pain. To let go of grief and pain means to let go of pieces of ourselves. The selfishness that encompasses this realization is present throughout. Several instances within the narration give way to the fact that the boss uses the loss of his son to gratify his own masochistic tendencies. The first glimpse into this is given as a portrait of his son is explained to the readers. Instead of utilizing a photograph or picture that represents a time of joy or fond memories, the boss chose to hang a portrait he dislikes. Since his son died while serving his country, the portrait of him in his uniform only incites further grief as it offers a reminder of how his son passed. Most would choose to honor their loved one in happier times. The second instance is the boss s reflection on times past where he was able to freely wallow in his grief. Despite the time of six years between the present and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During the Yemen civil war that took place between 1962 and 1970, the Arab League was made up of six member states that included Yemen, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Jordan. However, the Arab League was later expanded to include twenty two member states. The role played by the Arab Leagueduring the Civil war in Yemen, is evident from the roles in which the individual members of this union played in order to further its interests. Egypt was known as the United Arab Republic during this conflict and it had good relations with Yemen. The new republican government was recognized by the Soviet Union and Egypt, but other western powers that had interests in Yemen such as the US and the UK, failed to disclose whether they supported the new Syrian government (Terrill and Army War College (U.S.) Strategic Studies Institute 54). The Arab league played a contradictory role during the civil war in Syria, with some members of the union supporting the republican forces while others went behind the royal forces led by Imam Mohammed Al Bdr. Egypt supported the republican forces while Imam Badr received support from Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The republican forces embraced social progress and republicanism, and were mainly present in cities, while Mohammed Al Bdr forces fought from rural areas. The conflict in Yemen was partially caused by the action of Egypt to send soldiers to support the overthrowing of the royal government. Saudi Arabia s involvement in the conflict was based on the fear that the war could overspill into its borders, and therefore, it protected its interests by lending material support to Imam Mohammed Al Bdr (Little 68). The republican forces viewed the provision of material support to royal forces by Saudi Arabia as interference in the internal affairs of Yemen. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia viewed the involvement of Egyptian troops in the conflict as a threat to its oilfields and its monarchy (Terrill and Army War College (U.S.) Strategic Studies ...
