New times Now in the 21 st century our communications environment closely links text with image, sound, gesture, and space. So wouldn’t you say that opening literacy out to encompass multimodal means of communication seems to be a practical proposal for our students within our classrooms .
The framework The new learning framework aims to engage students’ life-world interests and ways of being; it assists the planning for learning and its assessment mapping via four knowledge processes that serve to frame pedagogy.
The use of this pedagogy avoids marginalisation of many students who, through traditional approaches to learning and teaching, have had their knowledge ignored (Healy,2008) The Pedagogy
Learning by design Learning by designs pedagogy promotes ways by which diverse sets of students can connect productively to more expansive literacies knowledge through projects that are centred in students’ lives.
Multiliteracies –It is up to you!
