This document describes a system using an eye blink sensor and Arduino to keep cars safe. The system detects a driver's eye blinks and will sound an alarm and stop the car automatically if the blink rate indicates drowsiness or lack of blinking for a set time. This aims to prevent accidents caused by driver distraction or falling asleep. The system was developed because most accidents are due to driver error. It functions by sensing the driver's eye blinks and sending the signal to an Arduino for comparison to set parameters. If the blink rate exceeds a threshold, the buzzer will sound and the car will stop to avoid potential collisions from an inattentive driver.
