This document discusses architectures of meaning and information architecture. It explores how interfaces, interactions, activities and artifacts are merging into complex experiences that travel across channels. It advocates for designing pervasive information architectures as dynamic, hybrid ecosystems where users are intermediaries and experiences are cross-channel. The document questions how to design experiences that span processes and bridge multiple connected environments.

Let's explore the growing importance of storytelling in web design, how to communicate Story through all aspects of a website from content, to design, to ux; and how to apply key components of great storytelling in literature to the medium of the web.
Why the social web is here to stay (and what to do about it)Mike Ellis
The social web (was "Web2.0"...) calls to human experience and emotion in a way which transcends the hype often associated with it. While the phrase "Web2.0" does a good job of associating certain services and approaches together, it also has a down-side, suggesting that any day now, a "Web3.0" will be along to replace this transient, fickle technology with something new.
This talk argues that the "social web" has a momentum which should be taken seriously -- more seriously than "just mere hype", particularly by content-rich organisations such as those involved with cultural content. It also examines some of the issues -- particularly around the perceived challenges to authority and "value" of cultural institutions and assets -- and asks how these can be overcome.

Seymour Papert describes bricolage as a way to learn and solve problems by trying, testing and playing around. How do we learn by playing around with digital stuff? Can we create deep learning experiences that encourage students to show and share what they know with the world and contribute to the global knowledge commons? A variety of concrete student centred learning experiences are shared that leverage the power of the world wide web and focus teachers instructional design through lenses that are student centred, knowledge centred, assessment centred, and community centred. We look at both small short term assignments and larger long term projects that demonstrate how your students can learn and share as 21st century bricoleurs
A framework for the systemic design of experiences derived from game design theory and practice, and plenty of examples coming from board and video games.
