Digital photography - patterns in the environment
As an early childhood education specialists I began my career as an upper-level
administrator at an elementary school. I chose to work as a specialist in an
environment that best suited to my desires and needs. I chose a classroomcareer
with emphasis on helping pre-kindergarten children with attaining developmental
achievements in appropriation to their age. Academic lessons such as pre-literacy
are important to me since they allow me to assist students in attaining elementary
skills and how to socially conduct themselves.
My arts experience was one of learning through convenience rather than
desire. As an early educator, I learnt early on in my career that children learn well
using images rather than text. This compelled me to learn how to integrate images
and visuals in the classroom. In the beginning the experience was challenging since I
had no artistic background, but with time as I gauged the reaction of my students
towards certain images, I learnt how to use and avoid certain images in particular
lessons. My inspiration to the arts was from a desire to improve the articulation and
grasping skills of my students. The experience was fun and surprising as well most
especially in how my students were able to express themselves through visual arts.
In relation to my childhood memories, art was less of my concern. My interest where
mainly in reading and creating visual images in my mind. So learning the relation

I missed out as a child.
The patterns found in nature take upon shapes such as meanders, foams,
spirals, stripes and cracks among others. One type of pattern is symmetrical; it is
pervasive in living things. This type of pattern is common among animals in the form
of bilateral or mirrored in the same format as plants (flowers or leaves). On the other
hand, among non-living things, the patterns include six fold symmetrical, crystals and
spheroid shaped rings
Even as we may not realize it, patterns exist all around us. Wherever one looks,
one can discover a pattern. One important attribute of patterns is their repetitive
nature and movement which could be in distinct forms such as shapes, textures,
lines and symbols or even as simplified as rail road tracks. Children can show
appreciation to patterns as well. One can simply have them look around an
environment assist themin identifying patterns they can. This will allow them to
collect ideas about the different methods by which they can create shapes, textures
and lines using movement and repetition. Once children are able to make an
identification of a pattern, they are able to create impressive pieces of art that can
be greatly enhanced.
Take for instance the ceiling patterns at the Ryerson Student Learning center in
Toronto, Canada. One is able to observe the really impressive and intriguing patterns.
These patterns are not only inside by also outside the building.
3. One is able to take note of the glass windows which surrounds the whole
building; within this glass pattern are flunky shapes with white outlines that further
complement the overall appeal of the pattern.
Buildings can also be constructed with patterns. One example is the St.
George Church in Canada. When one looks closely, there are repetitive little arches
that run along the frontal side of the building. One can only wonder at the extensive
detail and hard work that must have been put in to create such an eye catching
pattern.
4. Another example of a pattern that we can observe in day to day life is found in
buildings, specifically windows. Take for instance the following repetitive and
consistent shapes in this window which create an exciting pattern.

Current favorite artist
My current favorite artist is Cindy Sherman. Not only is she among the few
female photographers known for their longevity, dynamism as well as influence, she
has managed to countless convert herself as a fictional figure such as : a clown ,
ingénue, victim and movie star among others. All of this while predating modern
5. obsessions of self-representation. It is a common occurrence for public discussions
related to the fluidity of identity that is can be challenging for a younger audience to
have appreciation of the originality of the work of Cindy Sherman. Her work has
since shifted far from the circumscribed concerns about herself. One example of her
works that I find interesting is the piece "Untitled Film Stills" which is based on a
series of portraits originating from the inspiration of movie stills from the 1907s.
Another impressive work is her "No Man's Land" which sets her apart as a
"proto-selfie extraordinary practitioner."
Another impressive work is her "No Man's Land" which sets her apart as a

6. Her artistic pieces are colorful representations with the extensive use of colors
such as the face of Venus and neck in a pink color with red, orange and yellow
colored hair. This is in contrast with a solid light blue color background, as an
emphasis of main elements in Renaissance painting, the hair and the face take
center stage since they reveal the warmth of colors and highlight the gaze of a
woman. The artworks entail a composition of two dimensional shapes with the
greater part being in formation of lines and color shirts, such as the red hair of Venus
information by a shift from a background that is blue to the upper body being pink.
The outline of lines within the hair in certain locations also provides form for
the shape of the hair. In this case, lines and the shift in color are applied in
combination in certain places as well as the separation in other locations to as to
formulate the artwork shapes. The utilization of colors also develops unity as well as
variety such that the application of warm colors in the entire piece and the use of a
single solid color background formulate unity within the artwork.

Pretend Play and Magical thinking
Pretend playing as an activity is presented in the definition of the perspective
of the development span is a period held in characterization of the physical,
cognitive, socio-emotional as well as contextual transformation. This is as a seeming
period of being in the least in several technological advancements of western culture
which is manifested in the confrontation of with the challenge of self-definition as
taken in duration of the journey adjustment to adulthood.
Age limitation lacks clarity in specification while extending approximately to
the ages of 12 to the late teenage periods near the completion of physical growth. In
the course of this period, an individual attains sexual maturity, changes in hormonal
structures as well as the establishment of an individual identity that is distinct from
the family. In elementary terms it is defined as the period of development of one's
personality.
8. In accordance pretend playing as an activity are normally faced with the
preoccupation of the apparent view of their parents instead of them. This presents
one with questions of the connection of responsibilities and skills in earlier
cultivation with analysis portraying the youth as young individuals in a crucial
category the needs attention.
The view held by parents towards pretend playing as an activity is one of social
significance and psychological complexity with shared concerns among parents of
pretend playing as an activity seeking to be individual. This provides an explanation
of the pretend playing as an activity period as one filled with storms, stress and
turbulence with conflict, mood fluctuation with the elementary attribute of not
sharing feelings with parents on the basis of impulsion of experiencing magical
thinking.
9. Past research has revealed that family interactions are known to hold a
detrimental impact on the academic functions of children and pretend playing as an
activity. With a greater portion of research conceptualizing family based conflict in
the simple confines of marital distress. Additional aspects that have been presented
present the impact of academic functions with the inclusion of cognitive capabilities
such as intelligence.
Pretend playing as an activity and peers are the most determining aspect in
their development which is the basis that this research paper attempts to avail
evidence. This is in support of the requirement of extending research and studies
towards the improvement of the social relation of pretend playing as an activity
more so with their peers.
The fact in consideration is that this stage of growth is a period discovery, a
time to attempt new challenges and identifying while selecting peers to associated
with. Several aspects are in play in the requirement for development of pretend
playing as an activity with social relation being one of the aspects required within the
core dimension of the life of pretend playing as an activity.

Guerilla art
The image below is a representation of an art form related to the attractions of
guerilla design. The art is an extended representation of the street in a context
intended for representing varied elements embedded within art.
10. This image format has long been a primary memorization of beauty and design
through the span of time. It is highly notable that within the "middle class streets",
art design is taken as an undertaken commission. This brings us to the ancient world
where the prominence of art forms such as these was rife in the era of baroque,
rococo in the 19th to 20th centuries.
The renaissance era for instance marked a transforming shift in the historical
art forms which contributed to interest into the natural world, not forgetting the
Roman and Greek cultures with their contribution of guerilla art. It is on this premise
that the image above is observed as being a value depiction of success and status,
which is revealed in the sense of measured balance and insightful harmony. The
multiple innovations of art in this course is marking point in the fertile duration
initiated by the miniature art that persist to be prominent up to the point of the
introduction of photography.
The image places more emphasis on construction as the primary component in
the arena of guerillalism. Prior to guerillalism being utilized as an art form, it should
be noted that symbolism and decoration were the dominant art forms. This image as
11. such can be viewed as a reflection of materialized guerillalism. Citations can be made
of the Ney Yorklands Dallas that comprises of colorful forms of street art design that
symbolize several factors.
Three Women by Fernard Leger is a feature of forms in their smooth nature
that were created using a solidity of a guerilla that is reminiscent of technology. It is
set within the setting of traditional guerilla imagery of nude females as they recline
in a chic apartment as they sip their drinks as their bodies are simplified into forms
that are clean with smooth skin that appears as polished metal.
This artistic piece of Leger was set at a time following his injuries in the First
World War which led him to have the hope of technological advances and the age of
guerilla art providing a possible cure of the unleashed chaos brought upon by the
war. As such he applied qausi mechanical shaping for the aim of exemplification of
the intention of applying modern art to represent those possibilities in the guerilla
era.
12. In addition the compositions are open and focus on accuracy in light depiction
with qualities that are changing normally accentuating the impacts of the time
passage.
Furthermore, the subject matter is ordinary with movement inclusion being an
element that is crucial in the perception of humans and their experiences in unusual
angles that are visual. Impressionism utilizes color through its depiction of light in
form of neutral tones as well as black and grey shadows with several employments.
