4. Is it Right?Is it Right?
9x1=9
9x2=18
9x3=27
9x4=36
9x5=48
To perceive the negativity is what we have as the basic human
tendency, thus we see “LOW” more in Low Cost.

7. Anil LaulAnil Laul
“I have sometimes felt that Architects should design
only one building in their lifetime and then station
themselves at the entrance to explain the concept.
Such is the complexity of the vision that the building
does not reach out to the visitor but requires
explanation at each step”
- Anil Laul
“GREEN is RED”
8. Philosophy and DesignPhilosophy and Design
Known for his understated, pure but organic geometric
forms
Design and detailing
Amalgamation of traditional with contemporary
architecture
Evolved best cost effective and sustainable techniques
Construction techniques used in high income groups are
same as that of the slum rehabilitation scheme
Built low-cost, low-energy, climatically suited and
aesthetic houses with recycled waste for people’s needs
keeping the humane scale alive
Recycling and waste management has played a key role
in the building technology and design philosophy
Believed in RE SEARCH rather than research.
