Duties &
Responsibilities:
A new build, retail development situated on a green
field site in an urban area. A two storey steel frame
construction over an insitu basement car park.
Includes one anchor (Dunnes Stores) and 20+ units
approx 100sq. mtrs. each, comprising of retail and
food outlets. The development is primarily cladded
with ‘Kingspan’ paneling and brickwork. Redesign of

3. APPENDIX 03
Duties &
Responsibilities:
The project consisted of the refurbishment to the
existing 5,550sq. mtr. office block with a 1,250sq.
mtr. extension to the development and a 900+ sq.
mtr. residential floor added to the roof. This included
the complete restoration of all four facades while
implementing a sustainable aspect throughout the
building. The existing office block was a five storey
development over a concrete basement car park.
The building was constructed from a structural
concrete panel system on three of the four facades.
These were to be removed and replaced with new
cladding systems. The removal of these panels
meant that the buildings primary structure had to be
strengthened before the replacement of the facades
could be undertaken. A number of columns were
either removed or relocated in the basement car park
to give a more economic layout which meant further
strengthening to the primary structure.
